You can still play the same thing on a four string bass… you just have to substitute notes I played on the thickest strings with the lowest note possible on your bass.

@@geobun2734 ok here is the king answer. Five strings is the same as four strings except the one thicker string at the top. If you go up the frets it will sound higher because you’re playing the same notes that you would on a four string bass. It can just hit lower notes that the four strings can not hit and you can also play lower notes from the high position because of the one thicker string. I hope you understand
