After watching you sell the Bronson I followed suit but sized down to a medium chameleon, I’m 180cm… I don’t understand how you can enjoy these crazy big bikes at your height. The best upgrade I’ve ever done was to get a smaller bike.
Ordered Capra in 2020 and received in 21. Love the bike but definitely wish I had the lockout. I'll probably drop the money on it once I'm back from deployment. It really feels like my Nomad but with taller wheels. I love it. Just picked up a hardtail here that I'll be sending home. Nice having options.
Does not disappoint. And having had that 2020 Capra , like you, I absolutely agree with the comments on it. In fact I dont even feel they are close to the same going down hill. Just my opinion. They feel like two completely different rides. Great video
Milton !!! Great video. Man you looked like you have been riding that bike for while! Looked super comfortable on it. I have the same Capra with the new Geo and love it. I feel great toggling off my Decoy and on to the Capra as well. I could see you with a Cap Daddy edition.
Felt right at home with it, Mark. I kept hearing how much better/improved the new Capra was but I was still skeptical- until I rode it. Definitely my next bike. Thanks for the support 👊
Great review and comparison video Milton. I just sold my 2020 Capra. I really enjoyed that bike but it did feel like it would sap my speed and momentum on certain trails. I’m curious to try a newer one some day but right now I’ve got my sights set on an eeb! Can’t wait to ride with you at ride and shine!
Sick bike man. Did you know the Decoy top of the line with this suspension in a large is $6000 now? Decoy might not be a bad option either. You need 170 brother and this is a great option.
Yes and no. The main difference I was calling out is the suspension linkage. The new design did away with most of the pedal bob. But yea, the components on this one vs my old one are higher end
I would love to try the new Ibis HD6. It's not excessively long, slack, squishy, and heavy for a 165/180mm long-travel bike. Could a bike with that much travel be the one bike that does it all?
I just bought a YT Capra Core 3 Mk3 on their Canada Day Sale - can't wait for it to arrive... I typed the bike make/model into RU-vid in hopes to find some good content about what to expect and was rewarded with this video. Great job man - I've subscribed. Can't wait to check out the rest of your content - looks like we may have a few things in common. Cheers Milton!
Preference and trail choice. I have a 2021 Capra Base and with various upgrades it's a hefty 37 lbs. after adding a coil rear shock. Thing just smashes the steep trails in the Santa Cruz mountains. Would I take to Flow Trail at Demo Forrest in Soquel? Hell to the naw! I'll take my short travel 29 lb. trail bike for that. But after riding my buddy's Transition Spire 29'er, I am mulling a mullet set up. BTW the Core 1 Capra's are $1,999 right now!
I saw that $1999 which is killer but personally, I would have to swap most everything and the resale on those take offs wouldn’t be close enough to cover the new ones. Although this newly designed Capra isn’t the ideal bike for flow trail at demo, it would handle so much better than the previous generation 🤘
@@ShitStefanShoots So when you search "YT customer service" and you see all these people complaining, they all must be lying. People who have positive experiences seem to always discount the negative experiences of others because it didn't happen to them.
I’ll go with “felt faster” being that I didn’t track it. On the climbs, the Meta v5. Going down, depending on the trail… more straight and chunky = Capra. Twisty and flowy = Meta
