3 years later - Bling out Benchmade 940-1 Osborne 

Looks absolutely awesome!!! Love that green!!!!

$110.00 dollars for titaniums screws? It looks awesome, but damn that's starting to getting expensive!!! I just wish that Benchmade would have originally used body screws that were the same length as the carbon fiber scales so they wouldn't have protruded in the blade channel!!!

The colored axis lock looks awesome! I'm thinking of getting a blue one to match the blue barrel spacers on mine

I personally hate Benchmade!!! Why, because I bought a first production run of their $272.00 carbon fiber Osborne 940-1 in CPM S90V when it first was released and it was an absolute shit show!!! First off Benchmade makes the 940-1 with body screws that are actually a lot longer than the thickness of its scales, so the screws stick way out beyond the scales and in the blade channel(area between the inside of each scale where the blades sits when closed). Why, you're telling me that Benchmade the largest knife company in the world couldn't order the proper length screw or if needed modify/shorten a screw that are too long? I mean Benchmade had the tools/manpower and ability to cut/shorten Rifles, AR-15's and shotguns but they can't modify/shorten a simply small screw!!!! It's like Benchmade had a ton of extra screws that where much longer than the thickness of the carbon fiber scales of the 940-1 and Benchmade just said fuck it use them as body screws for the 940-1 as they are without shortening them!!! Then my 940-1 had blade centering that was so off the blade was a human hair thickness away from touching the inside of the left scale. I sent the blade back to Benchmade and it took four months to finally get it back. It was rumored that the milled pocket for the axis lock on one of the carbon fiber scales was slightly off, so an entirely new carbon fiber scale had to be remade. Benchmade knives are not only overpriced but seriously lacking quality control/fit&finish!!!
