Wtup Chi Keng? I follow your content (even bought you a super thanks once or twice) because you have a good head on your shoulders, and I can recognize good work when i see it. An unrealized negative return for Baba that has lasted for the better part of 3 years does not say anything (unless you have taken your chips off the table). I hear you on the life catching up part but sincerely hope that you continue punching out content whenever you can, even if its on an infrequent schedule. And finally: “You are neither right nor wrong because the crowd disagrees with you. You are right because your facts and reasoning are right.” I am sure you know where that came from🥃 peace!!!

I'm 34 and I watch your videos to track any Alibaba developments. Also, Western investors/media tend to be super negative on China and I want to have a more balanced perspective on Chinese investments, so I watch your view to gain a more objective point of view. Also, there are very few channels who cover their mistakes fully, so constantly seeing someone who has to deal with their investments going down keeps me grounded about my own short term losses. I have a position in BABA, JD, and PDD, but live in America, so any unbiased insights I can get on the Chinese stock market is much appreciated. Btw, I remember you posting a video on how Softbank is selling their baba position and has a derivative which they've been making money off as the stock price falls. I found that video in particular super valuable and insightful. Love your content and hope you keep it up!
i belong to that 96% group. It’s because you have clarity in your thoughts and are able to deliver it well thru your spoken words. While you may not deem your youtube channel as a possible main source of income(at least for the current moment), i think you have a very good potential to do just that. Just keep your topics focused on finance and investments, there are many ppl watching these type of videos. And it is what you are very good at. The entire China investing macro & Micro (beyond Alibaba) is still a very big green field content opportunity. Many people, including myself, are quite unaware of how the gears turn there. Just need to endure a temporary view hit to enter a much bigger world of audience.

I was noticing Tay Chi Keng's incentives and how he built his audience. Hopefully he does become more proactive. Unduely emphasizing BABA for views could mislead his followers. Love the open discussion and his being wise to request feedback. Why do I follow you?: You are from a different culture, speak English well, and have opinions that differ from (my culture's) traditional sentiments. As well, you are commited to your thoughts with real investments.
I tuned into your content because i want to get the key understanding of your insights. I'm also a part time finance student working in a private education instituition. Applying concept and knowledge is tough, seeing how one university student apply his learning to his stock picking allow me to learn 10x faster. Just like most of your professor, teaching for the sake of teaching, being on a hamster wheel to meet the job scope duty will simply not cut it in the long run for anyone. So i appreciate and see where youre coming from and will look forward towards your investment first principle on your videos.
I have to admit that i am a lot older than u and have been watchin everything that u churned out. The reason why i follow and watched u because i find that u are genuine, honest and ur thought process is very objective. Do continue to update with us your personal progress. Basically watching you for the Singaporean view on the China market since I also hold some amount of 9988 and down 40%. You are always quite fast to react. Hope you could share more opinion on the us market momentum. Since somewhat it affect all markets globally. Would be interesting for your Singaporean perspective.
To answer your question on value add. Although u are young u have very mature thinking (which u also realised as u compare to ur peers). Your stock analysis is another value add. Another value u probably dont realise is how we as parent can understand our kids by referencing to u, as ur gap w our kids as shorter. Ur story about ur dad bringing u into investing is a good idea
Bought a BABA 12/20 call the other day, up 7% on it :) I like the stock and company, BUT it has such volatility I tend to hop in and out, rather than actually buying and holding.
I started watching due to bag holding baba (and still waiting). But I do watch other content if I have an interest in the stock. Im old enough to know what I dont know and if I get educated watching your channel it doesnt matter how old anyone is. The only age thats important is financial education age.
I have been watching you for the past 2+ years (I think). I just want to study human psychology. How would you react to baba going up/down. Would you or would you not be swayed by sunk cost fallacy etc. I have owned baba from 2016 to 2021.
To have a greater future, you should get out of badholder pod. Those kel learn investing, boon tee don't have any creditability, talk with no substance but act like they are good, they are bringing you down. You were better off on your own
For 3 years, Tesla is back to their same share value, should we still holding it?. No one can predict the future..just as someone succeed , does not means he will continue his success. Learn from everyone mistake or history.

Listen from ppl who made losses and reflect on it is WAY more valuable than others that only show their profits. only show minor mistakes and doesn’t show the reality. U seldom see this in western content where everyone only tell u their sunny side (probably sg had too much of sun we prefer the cloudy view)
Bcos very few share or reflect on their losses...and it takes lot of guts to share it publicly...and learn from it. thats what cedibility is all about...i guess🤔
If you like to continue your RU-vid channel, stop investing in China. You don't want to invest in the countries run by dictatorship and without transparency. Trust is the foundation of a prosperous investing environment. If you continue investing in China, you will have a bunch of disgruntled followers in the future.
Baba (9988) presently my largest position sadly , Tencent (0700) & China Tech ( 3067 ) also having large positions fell into the Govt Intervention due to regulatory reasons as described and updated in many of your videos - listening to you gives me hope and your regular update helps me understand better where we are standing together - keep it up - wish you the best and may ALIBABA actually recover in due course
