Good question to which I don't think there is a definitive answer, but perhaps someone from a place called Jiahu in Henan Province, an archaeological site there shows a culture (dating to 7500-9000 BC) that was able to make and use silk.
Hi, I will be visiting Shanghai in July and would love to see a silk worm farm. Do you know if tours are possible? I have looked online but am yet to find any
Hello, thanks for inquiring! I MIGHT be able to bring you to the farm in the video where my friends cultivate silkworms, but just know that you won't see any silkworms nor mulberries cuz they are only harvested in spring. There is a museum here in Wujiang Dist. (where the farm is located) operated by a major silk worm fabric manufacturer where you can see some of the processes. I am a licensed tour guide BTW, so pls feel free to write me at 278998213@qq.com if you are interested in visiting the aforesaid farm and museum, or other sites and attractions.
Hello and happy new year! Pls write me an email at 278998213@qq.com and give me some details about what you are looking for (specific types of silk yarn, quantity, shipping destination, etc.), I will see if I can help
