They're called Roseline bards and they go by a couple other names. I have 5 of them I've them since they were babies. They were black when i got them lessthen am inch. They're 3.5 years old now.
Man for the Rams i think you could do a fine sand bed because they'll eat the food on the aquarium blowing on the sand (their latin name means micro earth eater) and you have to check the parameters (they want water with pH below 7 and not an high GH), maybe this tip can help you
Yes, definitely give them sand and lots of live foods. Raising the temperature to 28°C also helps. It simulates the dry season, and that is when they spawn. Keep the nitrates low, preferably at zero, and the pH well below 7.
Hello. Great looking fish and tanks. W's all the way around. It's really cool to watch these fish grow and mature right along with you. Their colors are stunning. But what did you mean when you said " crypts, don't do it ". Did you really mean for us to not buy crypts? Because your crypts look really good. Nice bright green leaves and new growth. I love my crypts. A few of mine are a little bigger than the ones that you got. But I got a couple of the smaller ones and they're transferring great. EDIT: Oh, you might have them in tanks that you have the temp turned up warmer than what crypts like. Double check the temps that crypts like compared to what you've got them in. If they're not doing good for you then they might be to warm. But they looked fantastic in the tank where you were saying " crypts don't do it ".
Hey Boss I have questions? Why do you place 2 sponge filters in 1 single tank, which sponge filter is best the twin sponge filter or the round. Regarding the stands which is better and lower for me, where can I order great deals? Sometimes weird things happen in fishkeeping. Fish jumping out of tanks with lids, ect. I've had times were I've gone 2 years without losing a single fish in 20+ tanks. Then, all of a sudden, I lose 20 fish spread out in different tanks over a 2 weeks period.. or a tank you've had up for years crashes overnight. Shits weird..🤷♂️
