Hi Steve, just subscribed to your channel. The content here is really great. Your professionalism, knowledge and skill, as well as your way of communicating all this in a wonderfully understandable and comprehensible way is absolutely outstanding and enormously helpful in my opinion. Thank you very much for all the efforts you invest here, I appreciate it very much. By the way, it's great that I learn more about my DAW of choice and its possibilities at the same time ;-) Best regards from Berlin, Germany, to Central Oregon, and stay alive and kicking! Frank
What daw controller are u using now. I like small footprint. Looked up used CC121 but people r out of there minds what there asking for them. Other options I see r softtube or Uf8. I’m ok with a single fader only. Another really cheap option r the old Mc control / avid artist control. There really cheap 2-300 eBay. Eucon protocol. Don’t know much about cubase made daw controllers. Any advice or recommendations would be great. Thanks. Merry Christmas
Steve, you're so right! The number one feature is definitively The phase accurate audio warp. God, it was such a pain to edit multi tracks before that feature. Thanks for the video!
Hey Steve, great channel. Can tell you’re a real musician and know what’s up. Keep up the good work. I recently switched to Cubase, it was tough at first but I got past the learning curve and now it’s a blast. What a sophisticated program!
At the end of no 29 (Mastering) I thought you were going to add Reverb or Stereo Expansion. Is there any reason that you left those out other than it didn't suit your genre?
Both our Win 10 and Mac Big Sur systems are pretty stable here as well but, I did notice that we had to weed out a few misbehaving plugins and trash our old prefs to get them that way when we upgraded. That seems to be our workflow with any upgrades now and gives us a good opportunity to clean house every year or so lol.
@@Featherlightstudio I'm gonna give that a try. I'm getting random muted tracks that requires me to restart cubase. Also when I hit the performance limit it'll just shut down rather than give me choppy audio like before in 11
Wow, great video! Thanks so much. I’m switching to Cubase, from Logic after 12 years. I just created a template with 32 mono channels, but when I import a stereo file to a track, it doesn’t convert automatically to stereo, like Logic does. I can’t find a solution for this. Please, help!
Heh Jake, I believe this gets into the difference between how the AU plugin engine works vs the VST engine and how each DAW treats channels but frankly, that's above my pay grade lol, but yeah, in my Cubase templates I have both Mono and stereo tracks setup.
I’m just getting back into my studio after a very long hiatus. Cubase 8.5 was almost a mystery to me compared to when I had to leave the studio. I dabbled briefly with it and subsequent versions up to and including v. 12 just to try to keep current but it felt overwhelming. These tutorials have made such a huge difference in playing catch-up and getting back into a comprehensive workflow. Best I’ve found. Thank you.

Hi steve , i like your style,as a Nuendo user for years and after your sessions on phase accurate audio warp ill will uprade soon ..greetngs from Belfast N.I
Steve, thanks for all the help! Question about the Vari-Audio: is it possible to pitch correct two tracks simultaneously? I sometimes double mic a vocal or instrument using dynamic and condenser mics so I can place them left and right.
Kind of, If you have tracks in a folder ( multiple Vox left & Right for example ) Opening Vari-Audio will include all of them and allow you to choose which 'active' track your editing but there's no way Vari-Audio could edit all at the same time since each track would be slightly different and require different Vari-Audio settings.
I just opened Cubase for the first time in 5 months and was like WTF??? I literally paid out the ass for an 11 upgrade- Thanks for this Video or i would been an unhappy phone call for them to pick up
I paid $300 to update the old version to the new one, but I received the wrong code. Unfortunately, the problem has not been resolved. They do not want to return the money.
About the audio warp,i have to say that is great for drums but what about the waveforms when you place them else where? it could easily affect and make weird sounds due to cut actually wave forms....Does it cuts them and replace them elsewhere or somehow it makes the after audio to sound normal? Because if so,this technology is a trully devestator of other daws....
Might need more info on that but, It works with any multitrack audio AND makes the assumption that the multitrack audio files are in a Folder WITH the 'Phase Coherent Audio Warp' button selected.
