This is compilation of my Ollie progress during 30 days of skateboarding. Not every day is filmed, had some issues with phone or i have forgot to turn camera on. Took 4 months to film those 30 days. Every single Ollie is from my session videos. Would film it faster, but i had hard slam coming of shover almost 4 months ago. What happened i have explained at day 30 video. Hope this time i will have more luck, and less injuries on further sessions.

I used to love skating in high school, but I wasn't good at it. I'm now 36 and this video inspired me to pick up a board and start learning again

@@bigalsretroroom i have skated for 3 months straight when i was 20. Had to give up because of a job. It is never to late to start or to come back. Start slow, dont push to hard at start, wear shiny armour like i do 🙂 Also some suplementation would be nice to keep you strong. Vitamin C, Glucosamine, Magnesium.

I've been skateboarding non-stop since 1974. I AM..an Original OG in every sense of the term as a skater and I..state for the record, as a skateboarding elder, Ollie tricks are NOT..real skateboarding. Cruising everywhere on a Penny board actually is. Something can only be first at something, once. That's why it's called 1st and not 234th and the Penny board was the first skateboard in the early 70s with urethane wheels and was the successor to the clay-wheeled, Black Knight. Although I can Kickflip, I stopped wasting my time and energy after I did it a bunch of times, as it's not as much fun as just RIDING! FORGET ABOUT TRICKS AND JUST PUSH OFF AND HAVE FUN! 🤙

@@Sure2Skate It's just frustration from a cycle I see that keeps repeating itself that eventually kills the skateboarding industry. In the early 80s it was insane air tricks and now it's doing an ollie off a 25-stair set. Newcomers think that's what they need to be able to do or at least aspire to or they suck and it just isn't and they don't. Also, flick your left foot in a more forward direction off the face of the nose instead of downwards at a 45 degree angle. The angle of the nose will snap the back of the deck up onto your back foot. Good luck.

@@theoriginalrabbithole exactly, people do have to high expectations. Tho, most people i know they skate to this date, ones that was skating because they had fun and enjoyed every moment (even if it was sprained ankle, swollen elbow). As it goes for ollie i have realized that you need to scoop and kick toward nose, especially when you rollin (for balance just takes time, some more, some less). My biggest problem is inconsistency due injuries from work. Last big one was slam when i was goin off shower. My left knee was blue and big, also left thumb (think something actually cracked). Hope this time i will manage to get more consistency, and less silly accidents 😅
