I've been running around DMZ solo as a medic dropping plates, stims, and self revives to random teams. I hop in and do a radioactive mission right away for money n go buy a big bag, self revives, and plates to hand out. About half the time the team does just kill me though so if they shoot me I usually just leave to find another team cause as the DMZ medic I took an oath to save lives not take lives.

If you swap your insured gun with a ground loot weapon and then pick it back up you can extract with your insured weapon as a contraband gun. This let's you build an arsenal of your own custom contraband guns

@@prplehzze Your insured weapon needs to be dropped, then stowed into the contraband slot of your backpack. When you exfil, your insured weapon will be on cooldown, _but_ you will essentially have a duplicate of it in your contraband inventory. With this method, as long as you do it properly, you can have an entire inventory of Lvl 5 weapons of your choice.

Also cool tip: if your waiting for the exfil chopper and you get downed with the orange health timer, you can still crawl in the chopper and exfil. This happened to me the other day. Was playing solo and called the exfil helo and a bunch of AI spawned in and downed me. I still crawled in the chopper and was able to exfil before the timer ran out. SUCCESSFUL EXFIL.

I saw one exfil where the chopper is backed up to a cliff, you would be able to crawl on. But I too have been at the back ramp and unable to get on at most sites where it just lands. Had trouble jumping in sometime too.

Every key has a number and a letter on it. The number can be found on the left side of the map and the letters at the top of the map. Similar to a multiplication table. It is not exact but it will get you in the right area to hunt for the locked door or toolbox

About the tip on 1:20, there's a better way, you can put bot your letal and tactical items in the "backpack" not the "pockets". But the game remembers what you have been using and reffiling via ammunition box would give you 2 more tacticals and lethals, so that would be 3 in total. Its pretty helpfull if you are doing some exffils or "dead drops" with some of those items.

The hummer EV is completely silent, AI enemies won't *hear* you come up from behind. Normal vehicles AI will jump out of the way, they only react if they *see* the EV first.

9:23 there is a mission called teamplayer where you must request to join a squad of 2. I picked up a hunt squad contract and they happened to be at a weapons case location (which is hot for players) and I just spammed the request to join squad and eventually joined a team of 3 that was aiming for the weapons case. Hopefully this strat helps others.

@@adjcsee4476 I've had 5 in my party. Pretty sure you can have 6, it's really op, and you can pretty much run around unbothered because no team is going to wipe a team of 5-6. Unless you're garbage or they're pros or something. It's unfair, but at the same time, everyone can do it, so it's a risk)reward type thing. If you go looking for enemies they may just kill you instead of squading up, then again they may join you and help you run through the rest of the lobby.

One tip I would give is to not have all 3 operators together. The way I like to play is support. I will hang back away from my 2 squadmates, let them move forward, do what they got to do while I keep my distance usually from a decent vantage point with a spotter scope. It allows me to keep an eye on the area around them and ping NPC and operators in their area that they may not be able to see from their vantage point. It also allows me to be a Rescue. If my squad mates are taken out by an enemy team I can keep an eye on them and the operators and when the other team has moved on I can move in and revive my squad and continue on mission, maybe get some revenge. I find that using this method, I have more successful full squad extractions than squad wipeouts. If you can get one guy on your team to be overwatch you will be much more successful. If that player is also a good sniper, even better.

on the hostage contract, try always to got top-down because the hostage is pretty much always on the higher levels of the building, so you have time to disarm the bomb and kill npc after

I can say that having been through both Tom Clancy division games that anyone who has done the same has a good idea of how the dmz flows. There's plenty of similarities between the dark zone and the dmz. But it also has a bit of a division 1 survival feel to it. I love going in with nothing but a restock, throwing knives, and a stim... and starting fresh.

If you build a good gun in your insured slot go in game switch it for another gun then grab the original again and exfil with it it counts as a contraband weapon

if you interact with the guns in your inventory (eg swapping a primary with a stored weapon) in any way while carrying the hostage you can use that gun. figured that out randomly when i could use my RAAL MG without dropping the hostage. ps this also works when applying armour

I was watching this in the background of my second DMZ game and your tip about inviting people to your squad mid game saved my ass. I got downed right before exfil and I said in proximity to accept my invite, I sent the squad invite and they revived me and I exfiled with my gas mask lol thanks man.

Most people I met in DMZ aren't that hostile. "Yooo friendly" and we just part away. The amount of available contract and means to get money is quite a lot, it makes DMZ kinda a zen mode for me.

@@MoridaFanadierthe main issue is some solo players don’t wanna accept. They just kill you. For legit no reason. Some people have a mic but some don’t or refuse to be on mic. Some teams can be cool and I’ve went my way because I didn’t want any trouble. Just trying to get the damn precision air strike so I can do the tier 3 lotus mission. I even know where to go so I can do it but people keep killing me. Most won’t be on proximity chat or in Xbox or PS chat so you can’t talk or they won’t hear you.

This mode reminds me of outbreak. You spawn in an open map, you loot, complete world event and you decide if you want to leave as fast as possible or complete as much world events as possible before leaving.

@@MrJflomario No bot is more than 2 headshots. If you are on PC it's a lot easier, but I rarely use more than 2 bullets to kill a bot. The 1 plate bots are insta headshot kills. Also, there is stealth. If you use a surpressed weapon and don't just run in, the bots usually just walk around really slow and don't shoot you, making it easier to headshot them.

I'm playing DMZ alone, always trying not to get on any problems with players because I know how difficult this mode is. The IA is absurd sometimes and I know the pain and frustration of getting slapped by it when trying to get out with the loot you wanted. I always try to never engage with enemy operators and only kill the IA, going also with dropping plates and some other stuff I can help with to those players, even not killing anyone that is at the extraction point with me, I always try to say we can extract together with no problems.

You can also unlock battle pass weapons through DMZ. I killed a guy who had a victus sniper rifle, exfilled with it and unlocked it while being in section A1 of the battle pass.

Your first tip already has me questioning your looting. Small items stack, and fast, if your already in a location with 20 computers it makes sense to pick up the electric components. There's usually 2 per computer and they stack 10 on top of eachother for 1k, documents stack as well, so do a comics and a ton of items. If your already scooting through a location and looting, then picking up everything and selling it usually nets me another 7-10k by stacking items, and it's not taking me any longer to find those items than it is for my buddy to find 1 item for $500

Idk if you have to do it exactly like this..but I dropped my primary insured gun and equipped it back to my secondary slot..upon leaving it put it as contraband...so..technically you could do that each time and fill up your contraband stash with your built weapons.

The issue with that is all the guards are heavily padded up and finding and defusing the bomb in such a short time is annoying.

Something awesome I found out last night. So I had 6/7 weapon caches needed 1 more for chemist skin and I was playing with 2 friends that didn't have any weapon caches completed. When I got my 7th one which should have been my friends first one, I got the chemist skin and they did as well.

I only play Dmz on mw2, originally strictly solo. I've recently jumped into public randoms and every single time my first goal is to build a team of 6. It's so much more fun this way. Because of this, I've been able to collect all 7 weapons cases with 6 others. Proximity chat rules!!

If a team mate is downed in a bad spot you can push them further away with a vehicle. Not sure how far but I've pushed a couple over some ledges when there were swarms of ai

If you spawn near a nuclear material contract do that first. It gives around $20k you can use towards weapon cool down or at buy stations. You can also get a gas mask and other high tier resources. You can then just exfil after that to build up your contraband and can also help with the big spender mission and the nuclear material mission. It is also in my opinion one of the easier mission as long as you aren't spotted.

Got the new M13B today, long story short: Sniper battle with 30 AIs after me, wild goose chase with the chemist, self revive usage and exfil vs a trio, all with no armor plates. So proud of myself. Edit: Would have died without these tips, thanks Lego!

Little bit of advice if you store your secure weapon in your backpack in X fill it will then turn into a contraband so you can make your own contraband weapons

Silenced sniper with a spotter scope, throwing knife and muni box is the op loadout for DMZ js. Great video though. The RPK is amazing though ngl Especially if you have it kitted out

Somebody else mentioned securing a hostage contract and activating it and then doing all of the other running around and killing and looting and then complete the hostage contract when you are ready to leave the area - this will get you a personalized extraction via the hostage rescue chopper. I thought that was a pretty good idea.

Squad of 3 is great, a squad of 6 though is awesome. Did that the other night and basically formed a hit squad that roamed around the map killing everything and got the weapons case.

Good video and good tips. At least the time I played usually the people are a bit friendly and used that function of the dmz alot, usually let others join us but also joined others, (but as of lately some are getting a bit nasty:) ) but maby thats just where were at (in ZA). And also was 4 times at last exfill location and it almost never panned out good for me only once seems that alot of ZA players are aiming for last exfills lul.

I believe they “fixed” vehicles one shot to bosses, every time I have been driving a vehicle into the chemist radiation zone the vehicle stops working. Same for the Jug kinda sucks they fixed it. Thanks for the tips

when doing the prisoner extract theres a bug where if you plate up whist holding the hostage it will let you 1 hand whatever gun you have equipped

I’ve done it twice (squad up with real enemy players). It’s huge when you have a squad of 6. It’s the trust factor that’s key.

Does that mean members from the squads can still kill each other even if they teamed up?

@@wesleyparker6270 no, once they squad up, their name and allegiance go to your squad. Their name will populate on the left side like as if they are in the squad. So it’s as if they were originally part of your squad, except now you have 3 other players on your team for a total of 6. Crazy shit. I figured put how to do this better now actually. You have to down an enemy player,but don’t kill them; then run up to them (if they have a mic) the proximity chat will let you speak to them. (You have to have a ‘res’ pistol, the one you loot from the medicine cabinet) and tell them ‘’if I revive you will you join my squad?’ 9 times out of 10, they will because they don’t want to die and lose all their shit. Once they agree, shoot them with the revive pistol and they are forever thankful. Stay safe in the DMZ my friend. 🤙🏼

On the final exfil I have seen one squad but that was because we knocked one of them twice and while we were fighting a squad stole the the last regular exfil. And then we flew away watching the die to the storm and AI and listened to them say gamer words

If you fill your backpack with loot thats big you can drop it in the back of a truck and drive with it still in the truck unless its a small item such as documents watches etc
