@Bearded Guy and guess what any so called "god" or "creator" is just a myth. There is no higher being watching us. Religion is literally a scam. Those Crooked priests and so called nobles with power saying divine ruling is absolute deserves their heads to roll on the ground for lies.
@Bearded Guy nah all that matters is that you take 60000 steps and 800 hour workout daily and drink and eat atleast 200l of proteinwaters and 2000kg of beef a day. Do that and you will get into chad heaven.
That was straight up embarrassing. Whoever did that should be blacklisted from the industry. Like everyone involved. Script writer, stuntman, stunt coordinator, sfx, the horse. Everyone. Wow
history accurate or not, it's still a solid movie. i'd care more if they put "based on a true story" in the beginning but since they didn't it's basically just a medieval fairy tale action movie and i liked it a lot! fight scenes were dope!
the battle of Kalka River 1223 was only a recon expedition of Subutai, one of the best generals in history. he defeated the rus although they outnumbered his army ca. three or four to one. the mongols had the most disciplined army, consisted of experienced soldiers - trained from their childhood on (as tribe warriors) to fight and survive. but hey, the movie is a nice fairy tale.
This movie must be by Chinese, dont think even Russian's would go that far with depiction of Mongols who enslaved them all in history. If they were so weak than what does that make Russian's? :D
I have an idea for a movie. Let predators travel through time and pick the best soldiers from each era. And then hunt them down without too advanced technologies.
There are studies showing that tik tok makes it to where you lose interest on anything that's not short and sweet because tik tok is like a drug so I guess you have tik tok
They were , kind of with Powerful armies who have fought Turks or Other central Asians before , like India . or Blessed with Unique Geography, Like Japan , Vietnam and Indonesia.
@@adv1207 It was Genghis Khan's charisma that hold the empire together, when he died, no one was good enough to replace him, and since the Mongol army was based on merits, most of the generals were very competent and had a big ego so they fought with each other to decide who was better and destroying the empire in the process.
@Abhijeet Kundu And yet he had enough charisma to get the Mongol steppe nomads to band together, when before him their Chinese neighbors constantly used divide and conquer tactics to keep the nomads busy fighting each other rather than attacking China.
There's also Benkei, who died while standing upright, covered in arrows while covering Yoshitsune Miyamoto's retreat. Also Zhang Fei who survived his bridge feat during a retreat from Wei forces.
@@prestongarvey875 he probably could of killed 3 times more or atleast twice if he stood his ground against 30-40 men already :o if they didn't kill him like that so thats a very impressive feat as a lone warrior
The Mongols soldiers were promoted based on their military skills, not birthright. They could use both hands to fire a recurved bow, the most powerful bow at the time, on horseback at full gallop. They wore silk shirts under the leather, which would wrap around an arrow broadheads, making it safer to pull out. Poland has an annual celebration, reliving a victory over Genghis Khan, which never happened. Whoever writes history books, are always the hero and winners.
A bit weird they ended with the Battle of The Ice which was fought against Germanic crusaders and not Mongols, but I guess the wanted a Braveheart moment.
The one who wants to destroy you is the enemy. The difference between the Mongols and the Crusaders is that the Crusaders, for the Russians, are much more toxic than the Mongols..
It's funny the first thing that came to mind for me was 300, but you're right Braveheart absolutely did that first. Im sure other films did it even earlier, but I can't believe 300 came to mind before Braveheart for me considering I liked Braveheart more.
@@OneEvilPlatypus He didn't say the battle with mongols. But a bit weird to end the movie fighting the crusaders instead of revenge against the Mongols. Guess there's no battle with the Mongols afterward in history, so they need another big battle to give them a Braveheart moment.
i love this movie, the architecture, wall style, craving and art are very medieval Russian, wooden city is common in Russia, Viking, Southeast Asian Sulawesi, Peninsular, Sumatra and Visaya island
Mongols charging in massed infantry formations up a hill in melee combat against an entrenched enemy? I'll take "things that never happened" for 500 Alex.
@@ticklefritz7957 That and their doctrine was mobile mounted ranged warfare. They would've just left 100 horse archers around the mountain and starved those guys out and circled around with the rest of their forces and taken those men's villages/cities, which is literally what happened to Rus/Eastern Europe in history when the Mongols invaded.
Moral of the story :- If you can't defeat someone in real life defeat them in movies . And just for fact :- the Battle on Ice was with the Teutonic Order and the Russians , not the Mongols .
So you were actually in the movie as an extra?? If so, that must have been an AWESOME experience!!! I watch them film a scene for a movie once, in the snall town of Lake Oswego, Oregon. In 1982. It was a bank robbery scene. The whole town basically shut down!! It was a BIG deal back then!
The plot is based on the tale of "the Destruction of Riazan", a medieval military story about the capture of the city of Ryazan by the Mongols in 1237 and is one of the best sources of the Mongol invasion of Russia.
I have watched this movie a long time ago , but I forgot the title. I really want to watch this again. And a couple days ago I try to search this back with my brother and can't find it. And suddenly I see you just post this today. Awesome 👍👍
Yeah it was opposite actually in many facts in this movie, Mongols from year 1200 - 1600 never even reached 100k soldiers for world campaign, always low in numbers against large armies, even now/nowadays population is low in Mongolia still. If you check closely what Mongols were doing really, they were uniting people and crushing greedy system in other Countries and helped them to transform into unity and Government system rather than one man worship and rule which Great Tengri law, leader must be for the people not for its own gain or rule, people shall prosper and for that leader exists which in those dark ages greed over time accumulated some and heaven sent punishment using Mongol hordes, even Christian scholars at that time in Europe wrote as Mongols were sent as God punishment and we forgot God.
@@azamatshaimyerdyen6037 What are you talking about? Mongols conquest of China had 800,000 k plus troops. Mongols invaded Khwarezmia with 200,000 k plus troops. Mongols sent Subutai and a Chinese general named Guo Kan to explore the west and somehow defeated Rus Principalities, Hungary, and Poland with 40 k troops.
It's not the best trained soldiers but the best generals/tacticians. Mongols lost a battle in China where they outnumbered the Chinese in open field where they are at their best and lost that battle horribly. Subutai and Guo Kan after returning from their victories in Middleeast and Europe lost their battles in China. Mongke Khan died in a battle in China which cause the Mongol Empire to split into 4 kingdoms. Yuan in China/Mongolia, Chagatai in Central Asia, Ilkhanate in Middleeast, and Golden Horde in Europe. These 4 kingdoms were infighting eachother.
Is this true story or just a movie i don't know much about Russia history but this one is really a Brave story of a soldier Russian are always brave from ancient time ♥️love you from India🇮🇳
Europeans can make as many movies as they want, but in real history 30 Mongol horsemen is more than enough against 300 European knights of any country. It was World conqueror vs Peasant abusers.
Nah I wouldn't think so, knights also can use bows as well as Armour to protect themselves from incoming fire, it depends on what skill level of the knights and Mongols, 300 is a bit much as knights mainly were on horse back they would catch and gut them eventually with their superior numbers
@@allytank-itykitty7417 1- Mongols were superior riders to any knight, many of them spent more time on horseback than on foot from young age, and that's by far the most important factor in horseback fighting. 2- Mongols were also far superior when it comes horse archery, that's pretty obvious, their composite bow have longer range and better penetration power than any European bows at the time ( except for the English longbow which cant be use on horseback ). 3- 300 is a bit of an exaggeration yeah, but if it's on an open field, it's unlikely that the knight could catch the Mongol, not in their heavy armors and against superior riders 4 -Mongol can equip heavy armors too. 5- All in all, European best bet against Mongols were their castles not their cavalry.
@@aclock2 while I agree they had superior bows to anything anyone else has at the time, 2 bows for different fighting. For me it would come down to skill, a veteran knight would know the range and avoid direct contact, they were not stupid to just charge them. 1 on 1 at range a Mongol close the knight, but while they were great horse archers that does not mean they were invincible as they did have weaknesses and is why they struggled in parts of Europe, Though for the knights gear, it's Armour was good but chain is good for stopping peirce, but not blunt trauma so if they fired past the shield then that knight was gunna have a bad day if it didn't peirce his Armour
Something about this movie seems... strange. I can't tell if it's the zoomed in shots or the aging CGI. Certainly seems like an interesting story regardless
they were cumans. A nomadic tribesmen from the black sea. They were driven out by the golden horde towards hungary after invited by king bela IV of hungary to settle in what is now romania and moldova in exchange of vassalage and military service.
"Announcing their cities will only be taken over their dead bodies." Well there you go you told him how to win and everything. Seems like an attempt to whip up some Spartan 300 fever.
Russian propaganda shit. The mongols were skilled warriors, and the mongol horde was at the forefront of military technology at the time. All settlements of the Rus paid tribute to them.
My guess is the soldiers laughed at them........let them sit in the monastery for a while giving them a chance to surrender. When they didn't surrender, finally they were shot dead. They end lol. Swords vs modern guns is NOT a battle you'll win.
@@MrBottlecapBill According to Mao, invasion of Tibet cost more than one hundred thousand PLA lives. Maybe they died laughing 😃. Any way you made your 50 cent.

Historically, Russian princes mostly allied themselves with the mongols to attack their neighbors. And the mongol army were not entirely Mongolian, many Slavic warriors joined them for money. A Russian Knyaz didn't have more than 200 trained soldiers on his side compared with thousands professional killers on mongolian side. The downfall of the Golden Horde has when they started to fight each other with Russian help.
Historically Russian, have died for Mongols to free them from japanese invasion, Fought ottoman 13th times to free Greece and balkan, fought Napolean and their allies country fought German nazi and their allies. Country, fought Sweden and thier allied country, And every those fight Russia saved Europe or the world, while gaining nothing. You sheeps are not even half of the Russian.
This film is Russian propaganda. Especially including the last part about the battle on the ice which was a religious war and did not involve the mongols. I guess they believed their own smoke.
When I think of Mongolians, I can't but think about the SouthPark episode between the Mongolian herd and the Chinese restaurant owner of City Wok Restaurant who builds a wall to keep them out!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Genghis Khan admired the enemy prince the most because of his tenacity and refusal to surrender to overwhelming enemy. 'If only I have a son like him', his words.
