@@LearnFrenchwithLexie I really want to pass the TEF exam, and I need to do it as quickly as possible, so I'm trying to spend all my free time studying. By the way, I've watched your "how to learn French by yourself" video and I have a tip on that topic. People can watch Peppa Pig in French lmao😅 I'm using this cartoon to teach my daughter English, but in French it also works great for me😂 They speak quite slowly, often repeat phrases and the vocabulary is easy for beginners. So if someone doesn't have a problem with watching a cartoon, it's really helpful. And also there are many nursery rhymes in French as well. I learned 9 basic colors like that after listening to a nursery rhyme for like 5 times. Plus some extra tips. Like, they sang there "Jaune jaune jaune ç'est la couleur des bananes", so I also learned how to form this kind of possessive nouns. Treating yourself like a toddler really helps with learning a new language 😂

It has more resources and tips for learning French on your own: www.learnfrenchwithlexie.com/opt-in I usually don't recommend children videos as the vocabulary they teach is not always useful. What I mean is: not everyone needs to learn all the colours, but it's great for vocabulary building on a specific topic (e.g.: learning all colours). As I said, I haven't been recommending children videos, however, reading your comments makes me rethink it, because as you said it, children videos use repetition which is key for learning, and they speak slowly which is gold for beginners! Thanks a lot for such a valuable idea, and making me rethink the way I teach! I'll definitely add it to the next version of my eBook! 🫶✨

Help ! What app are you using to get the IPA like pronunciation code, syllableized together with liaisons. I use ChatGPT 3.5 ( the free version ) . Much of ChatGPT output for IPA is wrong. Not by much, but not as nice as yours. Are do you manually produce the pronunciation codes ? Au secours ! -- Pronunciation code is very important, especially in text only material. Pouvez-vous m'aider ? Merci d'avance.

I don't use any app. I type them manually. I have them on my laptop, and I copy and paste them... It takes time and patience. I tried ChatGPT, and was disappointed by the result. If you find something faster and better, let me know and I'll do the same. 🫶✨
