Another great video from Lisa. She's professional and always right to the point. I like the fact she knows the areas non-native speakers often struggle with. For example, she didn't just talk about what "the pros and cons" means, but also how to pronounce two different "o"s in that phrase. It didn't even cross my mind! So yeah, she's great.

I try to put in learning English for almost 7 hours a day I have been seeing your videos you are always bringing native in your videos and this is an authentic way to learn English I watch always American tv-series with friends, big bang theory, how I met your mother, office, modern family and I watching native speakers interview subtitles and without subtitles, I can easily understand and grammar, pronunciation, shadowing and imitating native speakers.

Hi Lisa. That's no doubt about inviting native people to your channel in teaching English. It's inspiring to see what you have come up with this idea. It's effective one stone kills two birds! It definitely gives us an edge to listen to you and your guest speak and pronounce the same words or sentences. As a matter of fact I spend more than one hour everyday to watch your videos. I needed to jot down the expressions and some key words. More often than not I pause the video and go back to earlier clip in an attempt to get your pronunciation correctly. Generally I am kind of a low profile person with calm and collected disposition. I lay low most of the time. We're, for lack of a better word, lucky enough to get to watch your videos amid pandemic crisis if that make sense. Apparently inviting these native speakers to speak and to be filmed was not an easy task though. You have got to persuade them, convince them and giving them many assurance correct me if I'm wrong. Therefore I have a huge appreciation learning English online from your channel realizing how much hard work and sacrifices you'd made to get this done . It's truly amazing. Keep it up and all the best. Stay safe.

To me what makes English difficult and beautiful are idioms, expressions, and phrasal verbs. Here in this interview, Craig spooks less than 5 minutes practically he used only idioms, expressions, and phrasal verbs linked together that made his speech. I think is a unique language like that. anyway I know three others are not like this.

I live in Austin, Texas. it's a great city just like any other cosmopolitan city elsewhere , what I like about this is great city of Austin first and foremost is its growing economy, its high tech industry, its open minded people (progressive), its music festivals . One of the cons of living here are: housing is expensive as well as the rent, allergies are pretty bad through out the year so one must get use to it, the weather in Austin is really hot most of the entire year except from earlier November (sometimes still 80s/90s) till early or late march. Other than that Austin is a great city so so I will stick to it.

i live in debre markos in ethiopia the pros are the weather is so good I heard that peoples with some lung diseases came here and you get near to nature and the cons are you don't get an opportunity to change your life, for example, I like singing but there is not any studio here and the only way is to learn not in middle label in extraordinary level because there is a lot of peoples that have a bachelors degree but they don't have jobs especially engineering there is at least one engineer in every 5 families with no job but its diffrent in the capital city

do American native speakers use idioms so frequently? when I first thought about it, I started learning them based on the information from the book " English idioms in the use" and found out later that most of them aren't commonly used nowadays. could someone recommend me the source where I can find popular and common idioms? I'd be very grateful!
@AccurateEnglish
@AccurateEnglish 4 года назад
I agree, it's hard to find a good idioms book which has commonly used expressions of today. That's one of the reasons I like to make these types of videos. I would say the best way to learn idioms is not through a book, but rather through watching English language films and TV shows and writing down expressions you don't understand and then looking them up online.
