It is unironically good game in terms of story. Rest of the game is pretty mid but story is nice. Also it is last decent rpg bioware made. Also to the video: - TOR is basically few thousand years before the movies - It's when there was the old republic with jedi and sith empire just invades republic after hiding because they lost long long time ago - Brothers are from the other faction which is eteranl empire which is ironically being led by their father who is also sith emperor but not of the sith empire at the time (It's a bit complicated) - That girl is their younger sister those two cinematics are basically just background to adult characters in the game - That sith that is in the game since first cinematic is Darth Malgus, also known as a resident based sith gigachad.
The Emperor wanted Vader to be like Malgus but they are different characters with multiple similarities. Big beefy dudes wearing cybernetics with the same sort of motivation. I can see why you would think they were the same.
Love that you watched these. SWTOR is, in my opinion, one of the greatest video game RPGs out there, even now. 'Betrayed' particularly is a masterpiece.
The Old Republic has a lot of its own lore so not knowing Star Wars is completely fine watching these. It takes place around 3000 years before the movies so no characters will be related to the movies. 3:00 He's a smuggler. They are known for getting unnaturally lucky in Star Wars. Satele is the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order since the Hope trailer. So she's basically same rank as Yoda. That's Malgus, he eventually becomes the strongest Sith in the Sith Empire. There was Sith Empire and Galactic Republic but then a third faction known as the Eternal Empire entered the fray conquering both Sith and Republic sides. Hope this info helps you understand the trailers more.
3650 years round about. I have a ton of the legends books and it has dates. Deceived takes place 3650 years before. Magus is one of my top 3 fav9rite sith
StarWars Order to watch, MY OPINION, BUT TRUST ME(Disney Plus): Movies 4,5,6,1,2,3 > StarWasTheCloneWars S1 to S6 (happens between episode II & III) > StarWarsRebels (happens 5 years before episode IV) > TheMandalorian S1 > Star Wars The Clone Wars S7 > TheMandalorian S2 > TheBookOfBobaFett
Light sabers are powered by kyber chrystals. The only black light saber ever made was made by the only mandalorian jedi. Tarre Vizsla. Shae vizla I believe was related but so.ewhere down the line the Vizlas added an S ... vizla to vizsla
Everyone always talks about droids and stuff not hitting their targets . They forget in real life dudes pull up , dump a full clip of a drako and hit no one except some little kid down the block
So some context for ya. The little girl was indeed the sister of the twins and they are all the kids of the woman who rescued her and the man who took them away. Man is Darth Vitiate, pretty much one of the strongest sith in starwars, ever. He didn't want children because he feared how strong they could potentially be and possibly be the only thing that could stop/overthrow him. So he more or less abandoned them and forced them to undergo training so he could use them as weapons in his scheme to build his empire. As for the girl (vaylin), he didn't realize she was a force sensitive until she crushed all those soldiers. When he found out, he tried to sever her connection to the force and remove her as a threat, the circle of people chanting at her was that. When that didn't work, he subjected her to intense mental/physical torture as well putting mental blocks on her incase he needed them. Throughout all of this she felt abandoned by her mother and held her responsible for all the pain she suffered.
These cinematics gave star wars fans a lot of things they have wanted for a long time when they came out. the only thing i feel like i want to clarify is that they red eyes are a symptom of a force user giving into their negative emotions. AKA the dark side AKA the sith. If you ever end up watching the Star Wars saga, come back and give these a rewatch! there's a seemingly infinite amount of stuff to watch though, its completely understandable if you dont dive into it lol
