Imagine trying to describe Jokic to your grandkids 30 years from now: So there was this 7 footer who could dominate anyone in the paint either by straight bullying them or finessing them with sophisticated moves, snatch rebounds like no other, but he could also shoot 3's, must've had eyes in the back of his head because always completed ridiculous passes without even looking, had a one legged fadeaway shot that could rival that of any other legend, almost never got injured, threw full court passes like a QB, and did all this while making it look like he wasn't even trying that hard. Your grandkids will surely think you're just making everything up
Just like Stephen Curry revolutionized shooting 3's; This man is revolutionizing the Center position. One of the most, if not the most talented Center to ever play the game.
gordon is clearly a really smart player too-- not only does he know exactly what joker wants w/ his cutting, but at least one of the plays he's calling the pass to bruce brown in the corner bc gordon knows he can screen off brown's man and make it wide open. really great connection between the two of them.
For a guy who's scoring 25ppg at over 60%fg , his first scoring highlight comes only at the 5min mark. Just ridiculous how good of a passer this guy is now. By far the best in the league.
Isn't it crazy that this half hour of highlights is only from this half season??? let's be realistic, some people don't have a highlight like this in their entire career, he will forever be in the MVP conversation because he is a real basketball savant, future HOF for sure.
Hakeem beautiful moves, Kareem scoring machine, Shaq power..but Jokic is something different. Beautiful basketball, outstanding Intelligence for this game. He can do it all. "Point Center"
I Live in a Third World Country, with practically no Government, Life is hard, really hard but I'm blessed living in a still booming tourist beautiful coastal Mediterranean town!! The Internet though is expensive and I usually watch my RU-vid videos at 360P Quality so I won't reach my daily limit, enjoying watching all the Nikola Jokic content I can get for the whole day...... But this time! I went wild yoo peeps!!! It was a well-worth 32 minutes of 1080p60HD quality Nikola Jokic brilliance, and we just halfway in! Im so Happy to go Dark for the Rest of the day!! I'll have a Snow Cruise!
For all of you haters who say Nikola Jokic isn't even in discussion with all time greats, don't forget to witness history being made so that you have something to say to your son when he asks you about a center from Serbia who changed NBA.
I can not believe how effortless this all looks to him, he's not even looking at these people 80% of the time and the passes are exactly where they need to be
Magician on the court, he is an all time talent, elevating his teammates more than any other player in history. He is one of the most valuable players of all time.
He is so damn smart. It's like he does all the calculations in that split second of what the highest percentage is going to be to score. He analyzes every player, where they're at, what percent their average is from that spot, then takes into account who's guarding them and how much that would lower or increase the statics of them making the shot, then after all that he makes an insane pass to the player with the highest chance of scoring or keeps it because after all the math he realizes he has a 83.4 percent chance of making a tear drop floater over any player in the entire nba.
The most underrated comment here !!!! This is some SIFI shit for REAL! Yoo man your comment made me sure that we living in a simulation!!! We in some Real Shit Game.... Yo those dudes with perimeters should keep Jokic as a hack for 15 more years!! That would be crazy!! 20 Years from now: "Yooo guys ! you wanna watch Jokic's 320 Hour Highlight Marathon of his career this month? "
As far as playing the game of team basketball. He is the best player I have ever seen. At this point he needs rings to be considered the best of all time. But that’s gonna be it.
I agree. Nobody else saying this though. Hes just not marketable enough - but he is an all time great with top 10 potential. Ex-players hate it though because they were more athletic than him, and cant stand that hes so good with fewer physical tools. Isiah Thomas loves him though, says nobody has ever passed like him outside magic
Naah, not really. The fact he is playing in such a weak era for centers, also the no-touch rules, lack of success in the playoffs, etc.. all that diminish his chances to be a top 5 center. If, however, he goes far in the playoffs this year (as many are predicting), then he will have a solid argument. Also, alltime top 5 is something completely out of reach, lol we're talking about Jordan, KAJ, Bird, Magic, etc.. it's not that simple
That's why I don't understand why they says he's slow!? When he runs the ball, he's ahead of half of the field. Opposing center can't keep up with him.
@@elyserva7903 Not about being slow - he changes the pace perfectly which makes it very difficult to guard him. Other bigs don't have that good foot work which makes them a lot of trouble.
Not many guys in NBA history revolutionised the game, Id say Wilt and Bill Russel as physical monsters back in the day, Kareem and skyhook, Magic and passing, Bird and shooting, MJ as probably the first all round type of player, Shaq as the most dominant modern time center and Curry with incredible 3 point shooting. Every other player that came after these guys is just a similar version of the older one (LBJ and Kobe is MJ type, Giannis is kinda like Wilt, a freak of nature ecc) but Jokic is the latest revolutioniser. He is the first point-center in the history of the league. Im not saying that alone is worth 3mvps but the fact he is doing it the way he is just might be.
Nikola Jokic is an absolute bonafide player , makes the offense simple and most beautiful to watch, but yeah he's revolutionized the center position in the NBA . truly one of the most , if not THE most talented centers to ever play the NBA
With Giannis, you know exactly what he's gonna do and there's nothing you can do to stop it. With Jokic, you have NO IDEA what's going to happen next WTF
People who understand basketball knows that is the one of the biggest strengts in game, and Joker is one of the kind, everything happens in seconds, looking into future,it's the brain, following incredible skill,work,talent..
That’s why AD cooked him in 2020 playoff. Deandre Ayton cooked him in 2021 playoff. In 2022 Draymond green cooked. Why not just win the assists creation.
@@timothymodede8834 he didnt get cooked by any of them, either his team was injured asf or the other team was generally significantly better(proven by all three opponents you mentioned being at least finalists and two going on to be the champions).
@@timothymodede8834 2020 Lakers had a great team + help from the refs( all teams Lakers played in the play-off were complaining about how much help from the refs Lakers were getting cause Silver really wanted Lakers to win that 2020 title) , then 2021 Nuggets without Murray and with injured MPJ who stopped playing in the middle of the series... Suns were great and Ayton + Boston Celtics' Robbert Williams and Al Horford are the only two teams who can slow down Jokic last two years, but not now with full Nuggets squad back on track...So, there is truth to the fact that Ayton is best defender of Jokic, but not so quite...And again, Draymond Green can't guard Jokic, he only could because refs allowed a lot of contact where they didn't blow whistle on 60-70% contact that should have been foul, but either way Murray + Porter were out and Jokic still got the game on them, and could have won another if not for the refs, and also Nuggets blew the lead in one of the games at the end, which means other than Boston and Grizzlies, Nuggets without Murray and Porter gave most trouble to Warriors last year :) . So, yeah, they cooked Jokic, right :D Give me whatever you're smoking , cause I need that sh*t in the words of Kat Williams :D ... Dude, are you still salty Jokic won last year's MVP over Embiid and Giannis, because if you are, boy, do I have some bad news for you, :D here comes MVPX3 :D my dear Timothy :)
Maybe the coolest thing about Jokic is how he reacts to these great plays. The fans are going nuts, the announcers are going nuts, the guy that gets the pass is going nuts, and he acts like it is no big deal. No "look at me", no flash, just a guy doing his job. Doing it very well.
Shoutout Aaron Gordon, a lot of people wouldn't be able to finish some of the passes he dunks from the baseline and he's always ready for joker to get it to him
1. I thought they were calling him "Air" Gordan. lul 2. YES. A TON of these passes would be meaningless without being able to, somehow, figure out what the heck Joker might possibly be doing.
@@Eidenhoek I know this is like 2 months late, but the nuggets play-by-play people do actually call him Air Gordon when he dunks (like a airline/flights) since he gets air, if you will.
He is so efficient he doesn’t even bother with hockey assists. He slows the game down just enough to throw off the defensive rhythm and give us a chance to appreciate his brilliance. He is very innovative and has an amazing basketball IQ. I find him very watchable even that awkward, lumbering grace. I am convinced he uses it to confuse his opponents
I'm a Serb, so by default Jokić is my guy, but I've gotta say, I feel kinda bad for all the years Gordon lost, playing in a roll that doesn't suit him. Watching AG and Jokić compliment each other's skills is a basketball feast!
I know a dozen people, at least, who had no interest in watching NBA, but now watch because of Jokic. Denver has such high IQ team, not sure if at any time in history of the league, you had a team with 9-10 above average IQ players. At the same time they're humble and down to earth. Credit Malone with keeping their Egos in check. Denver is so awesome!
I’m one of those people. Was a Celtics/Russell fan but lost interest after 1975, until I discovered Jokic in 2019. I’ve watched all of his games since & he’s definitely the only reason I watch.
Of all his qualities, and there are an incredible number of them, in my opinion the greatest is that he taught his teammates not to be selfish, but to subordinate the game to the team.
Amazing,so,so,Unpredicible, people who understand basketball knows that is the one of the biggest strengts in game, and Joker is one of the kind, everything happens in seconds, looking into future,it's the brain, following incredible skill,work,talent..
The man is averaging 25ppg this season , but in this highlight you know something is different and it's for the best, on 30min there is 29min of assists
Amazing how it took 5:30 minutes to just see him scoring the ball. This man is crazy. Maybe the greatest passer ever. He's posting up 25 point per game and looks like he doesn't even wonna score.
Did you see the post game interview with Aaron Gordon at the podium? Jokic walks in and he instantly stops his answer, gets up and lets Jokic take over. Even the Nuggets players understand who the big dog of the NBA is. I can watch his videos all day.
the thing about jokic is hes not flashy with his scoring but when you see the stats he’s obviously getting the job done with his insane post moves and shooting ability. But the cool thing about this video is it’s mainly his insane passes that just make him such a complete player.
His flash is so bright, people sometimes dont comprehend what they just witnessed. Its like a meteor shooting across the sky, and you stand there dumbfounded.
Yeah i don't get it. Casuals say he's boring, like Tim Duncan, etc. But his passing is by far the most entertaining thing in the league since MJ. Its honestly so smooth and revolutionary it makes the rest of the league boring to me. It's like he's 20 years ahead, and the rest of the league is still stuck in the dribble heavy, guard/wing hard-carry dynamic.
Cmon jokic win that title this year its 110% possible with the team he has I want him to silence the haters so bad I'm rooting for him #MV3 Edit: 5:05 is filthy his iq is off the charts
The passes are so beautiful to see. They surprise you with his ability to see space that will be there before his pass, and close just after it's made. Unreal mind for the game. He must be able to visualize the future in his mind and truly is ahead of all others. Reminds me of Wayne Gretzky with a basketball.
2:40 I've actually made that pass in a game, although my teammate was making a straight cut from the left wing to the right block. It's one of the highlights of my hoops life. It's maybe top three for Jokic in an average quarter 😂.
Jokic's plays are promoting unselfish basketball. People here are saying that he can't revolutionize the game like Curry. Although people aren't just tall and long wing-spanned like Jokic, but he's revolutionizing the game by making unselfish plays and creating setups that are just inevitable or super high percentage. I believe at the end of the day, his equivalence of legacy to the all-time greats is just being a monster unselfish and efficient player the game has ever seen. People will try to replicate his game by making the right plays regardless if it looks flashy or not.
People read this As a born Serbian you can imagine how much I love Nikola and enjoy watching him play in the NBA. After back to back MVPs even as a biggest Jokic fan I didn't belive he will have chances of winning it three times in a row. MPJ and Murray are coming back from injuries so he will have less touches or just the good old voters fatigue, but...now that we are past the half of the season and he is playing like never before... What do you think will happen?
This is the most fun I have had watching basketball in many years. I keep watching Bird replays but now I have a fresh look at another highly skilled, team oriented player. Nice
