I really enjoy when Jorma plays with John! He seems very focused, perhaps because he does not have to worry about any vocals.John's vocals are quite good BTW
I can relate to the Bob Wier being influenced byJorma growing Up in San Francisco. Garcia invited me and my friend to there unannounced special show after we saw him playing at the Keystone Korner San Francisco. It was at Winterland on December 22. The Dead played a six hour + show. After they finished there set around 3::00 am or so. They introduced Hot Tuna who played For the first time in public. Bob Wier got back on stage and jammed with them for countless hours. It was the best Two Dollars I ever spent.
Thanks so much for doing this series, Jorma & Co. I got my Hot Tuna 40th anniversary shirt recently through your web site. It's beautiful and comfy and I wear it proudly, having been along for the ride for every one of those 40 years,
Jorma played a pre-recorded Quarantine Concert # 30 and four shows at Count Basie Center Red Bank, NJ this weekend. Five shows in 2 days! It just doesn't get better!
Man, you have been an inspiration since forever. I thank you for your gift and gut wrenching melodies. "Worst of J A" , continues to enlighten and warp my sensibilities in the best possible way. Besides that, "Burgers" still has a slightly pungent aroma of fish pretty momma 🐟
maybe i have been out of loop as far as the furpeace ranch, but this song, i have never such amazing chordal movement, and changes!!!! Holy smokes......I am learning this one, it might take me another ten years, I DONT care....amazing....lets see...um.....capo on the 2nd fret
Thankyou, for continuing to bring us through these uncharted waters. Just as movies during the Great Depression did. These shows offer safe harbor to weather the storm that can engulf us all.
Vanessa, Baruch ha Shem for you, Vanessa darlin’ girl, you brought one of our NJB tribesman back home and we welcome both of you every time you come to the Rochester NY JCC❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎
Oh, my. THIRTY Shows. There should be a cake with candles! I have never missed a live Tuna/Jorma show {that I could get to} in almost 1/2 a century. From the bottom of my heart I must tell you these weekly shows mean even more to me. This has been a brutally tough year for many, myself in self-imposed quarantine included.
Hi Jorma and Vanessa .... I discovered, and then binged, on Lillyhammer 2 years ago. Great fun and they managed to keep the humor fresh for the entire series. I won't spoil the last 2 episodes of the series by telling you how .....
Just found out about these wonderful concerts. Thanks so much for making everything better. First saw you Jorma at the Top of the Tangent in the 60’s when you were known as Jerry (along with the other Jerry of the time). Watching you guys incubate in my home town was so incredible. You are withstanding the test of time beautifully. Thanks for the inspiration brother! Thanks again for so generously sharing your talent with us!
Yikes yourself...Just listened to last week's sitting here in limbo...while sitting in the hot tub...life goes on...life at its best...Thank you all for this time out from ALL that's going on;}
Where is the thunderous JACK CASADY? Jorma is great but it's not the same without Jack! I haven't been keeping up with the concerts for a few weeks and don't know what the story is.Would somebody please let me know where Mr.Casady has been and if he is well! A reply from someone would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Just love Tuna they're awesome!
Jorma, first I must thank you for your "JK" on my items that I ordered. You have 5 guitars around you, are they all different tunings or just spare "E" tunings in case of string breakage. Or maybe Drop "D: and DADGAD. Thanks for the free concerts, I'll order a few more things to help offset the cost
