Not sure why, but I’ve always wanted to be able to place carpet on stairs, and have walls and stairs that were also colors of the concrete/terracotta blocks to add a bit more variety.
similar idea, but i would love wallpaper to cover up ugly walls. sort of a mixture of paintings and carpet. and being able to put carpet on stairs would definitely help in many builds
Honestly the fireflies being removed was just really lazy on mojangs part they really couldn’t be bothered to tweak the frogs to not eat the fireflies now you could say well what’s the purpose then if the mob has no purpose well it’s simple use it for atmosphere and aesthetic it would have made the swamps and mangrove forests look way more unique and beautiful in a way and typically in games bugs like fireflies are used for atmosphere and enhance the environment anyway because it makes it feel more alive

In other words, Mojang doesn't add fun or add innovating features. All they give us are lack luster boring updates with little to no fun to them (with the exception of caves and cliffs). This game has great potential, but they keep squandering it. Thats why I don't play the game anymore.

As a fellow creative person, I honestly think that having a limit would enhance a person's creativity, innovation, and their skills in thinking outside the box. It sure does have it's strengths and weaknesses.
So we can’t have vertical red stone because it’s not realistic enough, but can’t have toilets because they’re too realistic. We can’t have sharks because no hostile mobs based on real animals, but we have bees, spiders and polar bears…yeah makes sense Mojang
It's best to avoid anything resembling bile or excrements in the game. I'm not inclined for Mojang to add toilets unless if it's an april fools update.
I find the whole "Frogs not being able to eat Fireflies" to me massively hypocritical. Parrots can easily eat cookies and have them die. So it just BAFFLES my mind that they couldn't do the same with Fireflies and frogs.
Mojang really said “Hostile mobs can’t be based on real animals.” When the spider exists! Also the bee isn’t really that hostile endless you attack it or break its hive.
spiders and bees are neutral mobs, meaning that they will only attack when provoked/duringnthe time of day. bees are mostly friendly but hitting them or breaking their hive will make them angry. spiders are peaceful during the day but at night, they become hostile, and hitting them during the day triggers their hostile behaviour
But that would lead to players on sticking to one variant of wood since you'll basically just going to color it anyways to color the planks. It would make exploration for different biomes and tree variants useless. I'm more inclined to have more wood variants that covers the available color pallet of Minecraft wool.
Good reason why the current employees don't really care about the game at this point. There's three different visions for this game, Notches, who was more than happy to add player made mods to the game as it meant less work and other players wanted it. The current employees vision of the game who don't care about the players or the modding scene because they hate how modders can do things better and in less time (how long have they been working on the game and still can't learn to code and just make things worse?), and the players vision of the game who still find ways to make the game playable since the current devs wont by making servers with mini games or making mods. The devs wont even add anything they make to the store on Bedrock because they know they're not as creative as players are and why bother if they can still get a huge cut of the profit off of the creators? Soon they'll be doing the same thing as Nintendo with RU-vid videos and making Minecraft a year subscription like how they want Windows to be.
3:36 if you want redstone on walls then all you need is a sticky piston and a redstone block and make the sticky piston push the redstone block up to the next sticky piston and repeat this and you have redstone on wall. doesnt look or sound very good but it works.
i like how mojang doesnt add sharks bc they dont know sharks irl are not aggresive and behave pmuch like how the polar bears does in mc LOL also polars bears would be an agressive mob, so mojang really needs to do more research LOL
Nah mojang logic is just sad, they're basically saying, "we dont want to add this or that because it's unrealistic." Like have you looked at your game mojang?
I generally agree with the direction minecraft is taking so far. Happy with nearly all features and updates. Although i wouldnt reject more animals like fro example sharks. I think minecraft should take a route in between realistic and magical elements.
about irl animals on minecraft... Besides spiders and bees we have axolotls, horses, donkeys, all farm animals, parrots etc. I've heard mojang explain they don't want to ad ENDANGERED species to minecraft because that somehow would encourage to kill them irl? Ahem, there are ALREADY endangered species in minecraft. Axolotls and blue parrots (like from the movie rio, i guess they went extinct few years ago?)
"Fireflies are poisonous for frogs" Then dont make frogs eat fireflies. And also why do parrots get poisoned by cookies if frogs can't be poisoned by fireflies? "Sharks can't be added since only fantasy mobs should be hostile" Well make them passive or neutral. And why do spiders and bees attack? "Vertical slabs can't be added since we dont want Natural creativity to go" Well vertical slabs would give us more creativity. "Toilets are too realistic for minecraft" Okay, also all of the other furniture or what? And why do beds exist? "Its redstone dust, not wires" Well how do redstone connect with another piece of redstone connect of a block? And why wont mojang add a way too harden redstone dust?
You know what would be cool to add to the game? Disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, tornados, etc. I know there are mods for it but it'd be fun to see that in minecraft and try to survive it.
That would be horrible for builders and I saw that mod and it ruined everything. Anything destructible that you cannot reduce or avoid its impact is a very bad idea. Creepers are the exceptions because it is a mob that you can kill and avoid it exploding.
3:29 maybe slime and redstone dust in a crafting recipe and walah, a redstone paste that could be used on walls and ceilings, but to balance it, make it so that the Redstone signal does not travel as far as in the Redstone dust.
I have my own idea for 1.21 (if its going to be a thing)lavender forest a purple biome mojang has done pink orange teal and magenta ya might as well and the rest of the colours.
They also said they wont add sharks because they are endangered and it would make people want to kill sharks more because of Minecraft, but forget that they added Polar Bears because Jeb is a Simp
Spider and bees are neutral mobs not hostile. Neutral means something has to happen to make them attack you while hostile mobs always want to attack you.
they rejected the shark mobs because they were afraid of the backlash, like if they made them too friendly then some kids might go up to them irl and, well, yk. If they made them to aggressive, then it would create more backlash on sharks and have people be even more scared of them and have where the killings will be more often and less people will care.
It's still sad that they had to reject the idea of adding shark and firefly because people are like "It's not realistic enough".It's a GAME Giant spiders don't exist in real life Creepers zombies walking skeletons Don't exist It's a fricking game It have to be Fun to play not realistic
Idea : You know how u can click villagers to make them do an animation? What if instead of leads, that feature could make them follow you if u sneak while doing it! Also im still wanting furniture, even if just a table and chair. They said it lessens creativity cause u can use blocks but......imo doesn't really.
