Buy sodium hypochlorite from pool shop (12.5%) The 30 second cleaner is packaged at 5%. But degrades over time so msds states 1-5% sodium hypochlorite. 1 litre of 12.5% sodium hypoclorite will make 2.5litres of 5% bleach. Dash of laundry soap to help with keeping things wet & stuck. The bleach for laundry is at max 6% when packaged, majority of them been 1.25-3%.
The other active ingredient is a surfacant which for many will just be some form of emulsifier (carpet cleaner, laundry detergent) or liquid dish soap. Try again with a few drops (literally) of liquid dish soap in the bleach and water mix. Household bleach is already diluted so you need to also take that into account and mix the bleach and water to more closely match the 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner . Krud Kutter is probably a bit more friendly to your plants and such being 1 to 2.5% Sodium Metasilicate, 1 to 2.5% C9-C11 Alcohols Ethoxylated and water so that it earns both Earth Friendly and EPA Safer Choice ratings. It’s not the best idea to mix dish soap with bleach. Laundry detergent is a lot safer if your looking for something cheaper than a high priced surfactant.
@@eaglerg14 It might not be the best idea to mix laundry detergent to a high concentration of bleach either especially with all the new additives and bleach substitutes they put in many of them. You really need to read the label (not just skim over it but read and look things up that you are not familiar with) to discern if there are any ammonias, alcohols or acids in any product you intend to mix with bleach. Sad that some people don't bother to read labels such as the person who bought a Spray Can of Clear Contact Cement thinking it was good substitute for Hair Spray. A few literal drops of Plain Non-Fortified Dish Soap per gallon of bleach already diluted with water though is pretty safe when mixed and used outdoors plus at around $1 per quart Plain Dish Soap is a bit more economical than $8 to $10 for 2.75 quarts of laundry detergent of which you'll need more than a few drops of. If we get too crazy about it you can mess up even mixing bleach with water according to some and end up creating Chloroform Gas or if you accidentally mix Pure Chlorine with Pure Ammonia you could end up with Liquid Hydrazine aka Rocket Fuel in just the right/rare circumstances however if you attempted to pour Pure Ammonia into a bucket you'd likely be killed by the ammonia anyways or at least be making a trip to the emergency room unless you were in a full containment suit with its own air supply so its hard to accidentally do this. I used bleach to cleach my fence and it did very little. So I went in search of a cleaning product and found reviews on30 second cleaner. I figured it wouldnt work like😢 on the video. I tryed it and everything was still black UNTIL I rinsed it. I was floored. Everything just washed off. It is an amazing product.
You are not wrong sodium hypochlorite is the ingredient that acts as a mould killer in 30 seconds. Unfortunately I counted 20 pumps of 30 Seconds and only 9 half filled pumps with the sodium hypochlorite, and the same hypochlorite and water mix was a large area sprayed not a straight line if you go back and look you should do the test again and use the same amount of product each time and then compare the price. I did this at my house with the Walmart 10% pool bleach and the 30 second cleaner. The pool bleach worked better. Much cheaper too. The 30 second cleaner is for the weekender that is looking for convenience on a small neighborhood home and doesn’t have the time and/or knowledge to do it any other way. If you know how to use a bug sprayer, the pool bleach is the way to go.
Not a sound experiment. 1. You need to match the STRENGTH of bleach. 30 seconds cleaner is more concentrated bleach. Use pool cleaner bleach (diluted appropriately) to match strengths. 2. You need to add a surfactant (like liquid detergent) to match the ability to clean dirt, etc on the driveway (as well as adhere to the surface).

I Don’t work for the company, I don’t get paid to or will not get paid to make this comment here… This stuff is NOT just bleach, I have tried a number of different products Including Pure Bleach, I ruined a lot of stuff around the house and this is the only stuff that works without the damage. The only thing that sucks is the sprayer that comes with the system….
My bottle of 30 second Outdoor has trisodium phosphate and sodium hypochlorite with no percentages listed. Also I thought household bleach was historically Sodium hydroxide. In my experience 30 Second Outdoor Cleaner is worth every penny. I leave it on for 20 minutes or more. I will never pressure wash again. Pressure washing removes the little fine cement in between the rocks of concrete and leaves it looking too worn out. For patio furniture, I just wait for it to look clean, then rinse. ❤❤
