@@e7thstar he doesn't talk about the "on beat" situation, he's saying that the rhythm parts are the same style as what the shredder or the rhythm player would've played underneath the solo if it was on any of their record
All of these were really spot on. God I love michael schenker's playing so much that it makes me appreciate the licks you played to imitates him because it's instantly recognizable.
My first concert EVER (ca. 1980)! MSG as backup band, kicked the shit out of a band I'm too embarrassed to mention anymore. The "meat in the sandwich" between two stale buns. I'm talking bread here. Loaf =P
Dave's great, but Adrian's always had my heart, something about his playing was so important just listening before taking up guitar myself, mostly that awesome trem vibrato, made it sound like proper bending vibrato...even now I can't do that trem shit but my bending vibrato is decent
Incredible you nailed it! Captured the feel of each guitarist using their signature licks but you created original melodies as well and put your own spin on it. Definitely taking notes on this video. Great work!
Buckethead being overlooked amongst 30 shredders is asisine.. Absolutely no excuse for not being able to make some effort in learning how to play some of his signature style, although to be fair I do understand that it's not easy to basically re-learn an instrument you're obviously quite adept at.. His distinctive licks are atonal and require you to purposefully abandon harmony and trade for extremely dissonant groupings of notes and that, per se, is the exactly what you train your ears, hands, and mind to avoid (for the most part, realistically) and therefore its not as if it just easily comes pouring out of the fingers onto the fretboard intuitively, right? You must rethink the relationship between the notes you're mixing up in lightspeed often 8 at a time, all of them dissonant from each other YET somehow strangely coalescing into a vaguely familiar melody with the riff underneath that swarming pissed off hornets nest of notes, and the overall effect is regularly described as "robotic" or computer effect sounds, and any number of other failures to truly encapsulate into words the ineffable cacophony of notes punctuating the mix of instruments whenever Buck goes into his distinctive atonal / dissonant robot shred aka noodling? I believe it's been labeled officially? Pretty sure everyone has agreed to adorn his distinguished from the pack style of shredding with the title of "noodling" however I'm not certain so.. Yeah don't take my word for it - just put "Buckethead noodling" in the search bar and hit enter and then prepare your anus because you're about to be prolapsed by the sickest badass shredder alive and his tempo, accuracy, punctuation, attack, flair, pure mastering of the instrument will melt your face into a puddle of muck, likely ending up next to the puddle of your prolapsed anus since you more often than not will be stuck in the same spot while you're being vaporized by the greatest shredder alive at the moment.. .. But yeah, let's not include him on the list of shredders easily imitable because that would be kinda funny to cringe at, as you fail it - it being condensing Buckethead's unmistakable atonal noodling down to an easily imitable passage for inclusion in a RU-vid video.. So not even mad atcha! Lol I understand why you can't include him 👍🏻
@@88_TROUBLE_88 I completely get your point. But Buckethead is an anomaly that most people don't understand. Even though we both agree his phenomenal, it's not for everyone's ears. There is a reason why you've gotten zero likes on your comment. That reason is: you started out saying that not including him is asinine. I mean, Guthrie govan wasn't on there either. And that dude is sick as hell! There are so many others but the dude gave 30 of the most iconic rememberable shredders. Hopefully they'll be a part two and Buckethead will be on there. Take care brother..
People say that all the time about Kirk. It may be true of his later stuff, but the majority of his best solos, Blackened, Unforgiven, Master of Puppets, both solos on Fade to Black, and all three solos in One, don’t feature a wah.
Absolutely great job!!!. Dude, this must have taken some serious time...👍👍👍👍👍.Thought the backing was a tad bit too loud in some of the beginning stuff, but soooooo well done and please add John Sykes, Nuno, Dann Huff and Vivian Campbell. like your other great choices, All these guys had such distinct sounds, you knew it was them.
Just saw this for the first time. Awesome! Represents so much hard work. I doubt there are many people out there that would/could step forward and play this near as well.
Dude!!!!!!! I never comment on videos but had to on this one. From one musician to another, this is the coolest video I have seen to date!! Simply amazing!! 🙌🏻 we’re not worthy!!!
I loved this video! You are a monster of a guitar player! Im glad you did not forget Jason Becker, Andy LaRoque and Chuck Schuldiner! Is that a korean Jackson PS2 Performer? Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘🇵🇹
Bravo sir. Could you encore with your playing. To master the Masters is no small feat. Inspires me to plow through my ability to suck at guitar and one-day find my riff and my shred.
