Idk why everyone is hating on playing with John at the end, I actually really liked how they kind of turned it into a tradition after the first game. It gave a lot more sense and emotion to the whole game/series imo.
I think it’s the fact you can make Arthur look bad ass and rich and you know he passes on his satchel to John but the man is still wearing some weird broke boi clothes and the pants oh god the pants there god awful to me.
And Johns facial hair doesn’t have as much detail as Arthur’s either it doesn’t even like have a good stubble it looks like short stubby thick hairs glued on.
I don’t have a PC or console so I can’t play games like these but sometimes I just wanna play this game and go crazy and go shooting everyone I see I don’t know why
After killing Catherine Braithwaite, you can go back to her daughter in the shed and hear her cry, calling out for her mother and calling Penelope a b-word
Big tip: If you install the scripthook (just Google RDR2 scripthook) cheats you can do ALL of these things a lot easier. When you get to challenges where you need to get birds ... go to the middle of a train tunnel (the one near the oil/tar works is best) and spawn the birds you need there using the scripthook cheat. The bird will fly up to the top of tunnel trying to flee, die and fall to the ground for you to easily pick up. I spawned every animal I needed in this tunnel and killed them to craft EVERY thing the trapper offered (just make sure you use the right weapon/ammo type on the appropriate animal). Also be aware that trains WILL still come so be ready to run out of the tunnel! Of course I recommend installing the scripthook cheats AFTER you've beaten the game. On my 3rd play through I used it all the time to spawn to marker points. It saves you hours of riding around, setting up camp to fast travel.
the epilogue was great. John takes revenge and also pays respect to Arthur by killing Micah. but I seriously don't know why Rockstar included the map of the first game when you barely do anything on it as John. you get to build John's ranch. that's it. maybe a remake of RDR1 as a paid DLC for RDR2 would have been nice, in order to use the 40% of the map properly.
@Chloe Davies You can kill Micah. For example, when you're finished with one of his quests, and he rides off on his horse, then you can kill him. But unfortunately it doesnt effect the story.
There's actually a lot you can do 1. Try to complete the game 100% 2. Hunt for legendary animals and try to unlock everything in the trapper shop 3. Do all the stranger missions 4. Literally just ride around with your horse and explore, trust me it may sound boring but there is so much in the game to discover and a lot of random events that can happen 5. Complete all the challenges 6. Go treasure hunting 7. Find all of the remaining gang members and visit the graves of the dead ones 8. Play red dead revolver and red dead redemption 1 Once you start to get really bored and run out of stuff to do, just replay the game

Yeah right me too!! The hunting and fishing is incredible, way above any other specifically hunting or fishing game I've ever played. The choices of weapon, ammo, animal quality etc is amazing

Y'all can't take care of your horses maybe stop buying one after the second one dies from neglect / danger that can be avoided for your horses sake . Take a train or hitch hike / walk . Also you are provided a free horse if u have no horse and reload the game .
Normally I like your videos, but really? Pet a dog? Row a boat? Buy clothes? Switch to a new ammo type? GO TO THE BARBER?!?💈 This is SUPPOSED to be a list of reasons to keep playing the same save instead of starting over on a NEW save. You can do all of that DURING the game, and I do almost all of that every day. This would be better as a list of things you should be doing all along.

Eliminate everyone in a town. I did this in the one south of Annesburg and no more police came for me. The town was mine to loot and wander. Finally made myself mayor for the day
The dogs you pat will recognize you the next time you ride through town and greet you (if you have pat it). Just shows the detail they've put into the game. I still play the game.
Ben Storms you eventually get your guns back in the epilogue, outfits I’m not sure because I love the original John outfit and no you don’t keep the horse you have with Arthur
Tip for any of you that haven’t finished the story: Around Chapter 4 or 5 have a separate save file from your main one. Just save your game twice and leave one of the files untouched.
EEiV Arthur Morgan dies at the end of chapter 6 and you play as John. For the people who played Red Dead 1 such as myself probably don’t mind John because he is a great character even though Arthur is better in my opinion
Mar Ko Said chapter 4 cause you unlocked basically every main point of the map and I’m there right now and have been doing anything and everything that I can get my hands on. Sure Chapter 6 would be nice too but if you don’t want to grind out the extensive, beautifully written story again Chapter 4 is a good place to stay. @@sauce6746 just cross the river from Blackwater area go to the cliffs where Mexico is, get drunk, then you pass out. After that you re spawn in Mexico, once you do that you just litteraly run / walk north east and eventually you reach guarma

I feel like we should have to hunt and bring food home and and to craft cool bear skin rugs or bison heads to mount on the walls of our ranch home. We can do all the farm chores and then we get 8 dollars for the homestead, but what does it do i still do not understand.
Exactlyyyy! I've been screaming this. It's what killed the game. Yea you can do the typical gta stuff but I wanted to build on those new systems. They bragged about Arthur and the gangs systems all the way up to sale and never warned us or tried to continue those mechanics in the end game. I don't need a questline to have purpose. the camp system gave me a reason to play. Now I'm like "umm I could do this but....why?" Lol

Honestly, the store manager in strawberry is probably my favorite box. After you rob his basement, next time you show up, he’s a little butthurt. Then after you come back, he’s like “well I guess it was kind of a good thing you did that.” Then the next time, he’s like “what can I get for you today, some moonshine? Sorry not funny.” That killed me. Love the smallest amount of detail they throw in there.

no i have special edition and you cant rob it on your own but there was a side mission only for special edition players and it was robbing the rodhes bank but other than that you cant rob it on your own
After breaking Micah out of jail in Strawberry a random encounter becomes available and there's an Englishman(Name unclear) he claims to be "Separated from his mates". He then asks you to lead him back to Strawberry and he walks into the visitors center. Although he said he's visiting from New York he has a strong British accent and claims to be a sighseer traveling the world. As far as I know there are no secondary encounters with him. But I think it may be a good theory that this may be Gavin.
5:08 When I played as Author I just bought all that ammo for no reason. I just went through the entire storyline without knowing about Express ammo and explosive until I finished the game.
Since the sniper rifle unlike gta takes some time to get used to I've spent alot of time just posted up on a hill trying to get 1 shot kills on people horses and fast moving animals so I'm ready for online and keeping super high bounties since you know online is gonna be a murderfest

Forget John, I did most of these things with Arthur! On my 2nd playthrough and taking my time through each of the chapters. Leaving Micah to rot in jail for the time being.
5. Go on a spending spree. After you complete epilogue part two you get a nice bit of money.......but not 29600 dollars! Someone's done the gold glitch 🤔😬
WHEN YOU PET DOGS, IT MAKES THEM FRIENDLY TO YOU AND THEY WILL RUN TO YOU EVERYTIME YOU'RE NEAR, SO ON YOUR HORSE YOU EITHER RUN THEM OVER OR HAVE TO STOP AND GET OFF AND PET THEM (WHICH IS WHAT I DO CUZ ALL DOGS ARE GOOD BOYS)
If you made it through the whole game without feeling the urge to do these things, especially feeding someone to an alligator, you didn't deserve to play or finish the game.
