In December 2015, DC had the pleasure of presenting Dinosaur Jr. during a seven-night run of shows at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City to celebrate 30 years since the release of their debut album, “Dinosaur”. The band performed their debut album in its entirety each night followed by a set of songs from across their catalog, with very special guests sitting in each night including Henry Rollins, Kurt Vile, Kim Gordon and Eugene Mirman.

I've done quite a bit of live music video work. Here are the issues that are likely keeping that from happening: - Licensing - Different artists on different labels - Low demand for DVD content - The very real possibility that each artist would want to view/approve their performance before signing off on it and there were probably a few who wouldn't (artists can be very self-critical). - The question of "who would own the rights to this and be able to profit from it?". - DC Shoes being the sponsor of this video likely makes them the owner of this content (with sign-off from the artists/labels). If the intention was to create a full-length DVD, that they would then own and sell, as opposed to a short series of RU-vid promo videos, it's doubtful the artists/labels would have signed off on it because they would all want to be compensated quite a bit more than whatever they were getting for this. Also, DC Shoes probably has zero interest in the sale and distribution of concert DVDs. They just want their shoes to be associated with cool people. Just my two cents on the underlying reasons this didn't/wouldn't happen. That said, I'm right there with you. Being able to watch this whole show in a professionally captured way would be amazing.

Dinosaur Jr. are the definitive alternative rock band. They are the nexus of grunge, noise, indie, college rock and hardcore, kind of like an East Coast Meat Puppets drewing from a much larger fan base. They were the soundtrack to the late 1980's thru early 1990's of college age kids. Their music was played everywhere.

So there's a recorded version of the leper from 2015 somewhere, and im assuming several other songs they havent played since the 80s, that you can't even hear if you paid for it. Is this whole thing availible anywhere?

Line-up was fantastic. Was Courtney invited to this rhetorically speaking? Kurt would've been there for sure, knowing these guys all were the birth of Nirvana.

1985... I saw them! The sound man turned off the PA, but it was still a good show!!! Dinosaur ("Jr." was not added until later...) opened for two local bands that remained local... I still see the guitar player for the featured band back in 1985 (Eighth Rout Army) I don't know what he does, but it's not playing guitar...
