Good call on building vs. buying. Looks like you are shooting lefty. Do you get a lot of gas blowback using that Rugged can? My YHM Resonator R2 had so much backpressure that I recently broke down and purchased a new low back-pressure can so that I can hopefully reduce the amount of gas exposure.
Yes, I’m right handed but left eye dominant so I shoot lefty. Surprisedly I don’t get any blowback with this setup. I shoot my sp5k with the rugged 45 father day and it was unbearable! Congratulations on the new pickup!

Great video! I just built my first 300 pistol. I went with a 8.5 inch barrel with mostly Aero Precision parts. Pretty much done just trying to figure out which can i want to put on it. I have the Holosun AMES on mine check that one out if you get a chance its a closed emitter.
I’m familiar with the AMES but I haven’t gotten a chance to shoot one yet. I got my first 510c and got three after that. I do love the closed emitter tho. Enjoy your 300 build bro!
@@gilbertdavenport4389 it varies so much, but if you are a beginner PSA (Palmetto state armory) makes great budget friendly ar’s. You can get a nice one for around $700-8.
Thats tight! What rail scales are those? I just picked up an Adams Arms P2 8" 300 BO and I love it. I'm gonna give building one myself a whirl soon. It's gotta be so damn rewarding. ✌️
Honestly I had them for years, so I can’t remember. Good pick up on your P2. Building an ar is definitely rewarding. Don’t be overwhelmed, there’s tons of videos on how to build one.
