Well, Ryan’s numbers vs Devin have yet to be released…… and the numbers I was able to put together for that one might actually have tank doing better numbers than Ryan Garcia or bare minimum the same, with Tank having an edge

Saying “everybody thought Tank was the one that sold the Garcia fight” is not an accurate assessment of the numbers when Ryan vs Haney probably did less base on the pre fight numbers….. it’s more likely that the combination of the two was what catapulted the buys up to over a million

@MrClassicmetal that was no disrespect to AJ because I forgot him off the list. So... I did say though, that it takes a "great dance partner " to consistently keep hitting 1 million PPV's.. And 2nd, .. ok I forgot to mention AJ... that's still only 4 guys ( Tank, Canelo, Earl Spence, and AJ) in the entire sport of boxing..let's say we forgot about somebody else... that would only be 5 guys in the entire sport of boxing doing 300,000 or better consistently with no "big name" dance partner. So my point was,.. if it's only 4 guys doing 300 thousand PPV's or better, consistently, with no big name dance partner, then if the numbers come out that Tank and Frank fight was only 300,000... then it's no way anyone can say the fight was a flop.

His numbers aren't anywhere near AJ's or Canelo's. But for some odd reason people got it into their heads that Tank is the main attraction in boxing today. And based on what? He's had a single fight that sold more than 1 million and that's due to García, who has a load of fans because he's more of a social media weirdo. According to various online sources Davis vs Martin did between 150k and 200k. More detail will follow next week. In any case, it's consistent with his other fights: Davis vs Hector Luis García - 200,000 Davis vs Cruz - 52,000 Davis vs Barrios - over 200,000 Davis vs Romero 275,000 Davis vs Santa Cruz - 225,000 So Davis vs Ryan García was clearly an outlier.

So common sense tells a person that if Ryan can't sell shit alone, or with Devin Haney, but Tank consistently puts up 250,000 to 350,000 alone and without a big name dance partner, then the common factor in the success rate has to be Gervonte Tank Davis!! 4th..what we both know for a fact is.. everybody has an opinion about everything in boxing including "who's the face of boxing" and just like nobody can change your opinion and say you're wrong about how you feel and think... you in return can't change mine, or anyone else's opinion. Regarding the "face of boxing", that's not a matter of opinion. It's very easy to figure out who who the most popular boxers are. There are only 2 boxers on the current Forbes list of most successful athletes; Canelo and AJ. And they also have multiple endorsement deals with A brands, due to their fame. AJ, for example, has struck lucrative deals with global brands such as Under Armour, Beats, Hugo Boss, DAZN, Jaguar, and Land Rover. Canelo’s has deals with Hennessy, Value Group Financiero, Cleto Reyes, Michelob Ultra, Dolce & Gabbana, Roobet, DAZN, Louis Vuitton, Tecate, Coppel, Roger Dubuis, Under Armour, and Everlast. Tank Davis doesn't have any of that.

Ok sure fair point..but let’s also keep it 💯..tank hasn’t done consistent numbers..he’s always had low numbers he can’t sell..Canelo can fight frank Martin and guess what he would still outsell tank..don’t just try to make it seem like Canelo sells more just because of the type of match..even without a title he sells because he’s a megastar..and no other fighter is at his lvl ..

If u only care about the fighters getting money…. I guess…. But if u are trying to gauge interest and possibly future pay…. (Plus fighters get residuals from ppv buys) than the numbers do matter
