Been watching your videos for a couple weeks now mate, this video and your 4/5 excitement earned you another subscriber. Getting into long rang myself. You get me pumped bro
Your video have got me hooked into Precision Riffle. I’m a newbie interested in hunting and later on get into the sporting leagues. I hope you’ll help me get my first rifle.
Ado. Not adieu 😊. Is it not better to remain with a “budget” optic on the “budget” rifle? Ie Venom or Strike Eagle, rather than a Razor? I play in the Strike Eagle league, Razors are way out of my budget so I was pretty excited to see the whole “budget” rifle project come to fruition.
Not so far from Denmark. Could visit Namibia and Mozambique on the same trip (where I`ve been a couple of times) Great shooting and love your entusiasm - and I learn from you 😊GRS Ragnarok and a Blaser R93 in my home.
Hey Piet do you think the 300prc makes a big difference in overall precision as a cartridge then say the 300 win mag looking to build a new 30 cal mag and just want to get some real life info many thanks, and keep up the great videos
Waiting for the follow-up to that question. Maybe we should be shooting our loads at range (read distance) first then go to paper to to verify. OMG, we've been doing it backwards since Jack O'Connor! Your videos are my favorite and I really enjoyed watching your abilities at the Rockchuck Olympics! You should sponsor something similar in SA.
Nice build, I did the same with 6.5 like 5 years back but in x-ray chassis. BTW I noticed you use scope base, I guess for swapping to other firearms. Would you recommend a base ?
Great shooting!! I do have a question. If I'm not mistaken from watching the build video you installed a 300 win mag length chassis and magazine on that rifle. I see you were single feeding your rounds. Did you develop your loads to fit in the magazine? I know the overall length the 300 prc is much longer. Thanks Have a blessed day.
Please advise me. I shoot F-Class but I want to try PRS. Is it better to go towards the Gas Division with AR-10 with a proof barrel or maybe a Tikka T3x bolt-action and an MDT or KRG chassis?
I'm going either 7PRC or 300 PRC. Which one of these Howas would you recommend? I was thinking 7. But wondering if I should just go 300. Mainly for whitetail and ELR. One would have a stock and a chassis for the offseason
Sir! You say "there's a lot of luck involved" but, If your shooting in a familiar area, same elevation, similar barometric pressure, similar wind and mirage conditions, give yourself some credit as you are likely developing some "shooters intuition" based on your experience, once your truly comfortable in this "intuitive zone" maybe ditch the gadgets, the calculator, the kestrels, and just go shoot, you, your rifle, and your mind, you may surprise yourself with more "luck" then you think, respectfully sir, great shooting
Hi Piet I have one question do you think the howa 1500 308 win in a oryx chassi is a good choice for being new to the sport and being capable to shoot 1000 meters with it thanks makeing great videos and inspiring me
Imo hard core load development is pretty over rated. With Vihtavuori powders and my trg with factory 308 barrel and gunsmith 6,5 needmoor barrel using n150 and n555 powders and scenar or berger bullets just go about 95-97 percent of the books max charge and load about 0.002-0,004 off the lands and you are golden. These loads for me shoot 0.5 moa consistently. Still get pretty good speed without pushing pressures to the max.
Piet... Preparation + Opportunity =Luck! Dis jare se oefening daai wat daar te werk gegaan het! In die woorde van Gary Player... "The more I practise the luckier I get" Het jy n link vir daai skietbaan? Matroosberg gegoogle en dit wys net n .22 baan vir vader en seun.
I'm wanting to get a .300 PRC soon and was wondering if I should just buy a Savage 110 Precision with the MDT ACC chassis or do the Howa 1500 and ESS Chassis build like you did. About the same cost. What are your thoughts Piet?
