This is acrylic on a basic t'shirt using DecoArt Fabric Medium (amzn.to/2NRCSVu).
I mix my paints with Floetrol (amzn.to/2BG5kka) and water and put silicone in some of the paint colours.
Most of my paints I use are Reeves fine artist acrylics like these on Amazon amzn.to/2GwJBRC .

I looked in the comments and didn't see anything about how nice your figure is and how your so beautiful and such a beautiful soul. I want to paint on shoes and seen yours was painted hopefully you can make a video on painting shoes? Anyways I have been doing acrylic pouring for almost 2 months now and I am still in love with it! Wow,cool! I use fabric paints quite often over the years. I had no idea I could get fabric medium for my paints. That will be way less expensive. I’m going to do this for sure! This is my crazy thought, putting the shirt on the pottery wheel and have it fling out! I am the one as imaginative as you. Can be dangerous! LOL! Lucky girl with such a sweet and thoughtful husband!

Hi Marlena, too much water will break down the bonds between the molecules of the paint and it will weaken the end result.

Thank you. Yes they are! Instead of pulling the pull tab I open the cans with an edge cutting can opener and the top becomes the lid :) This is an example of what I mean by edge cutting opener amzn.to/2BBzNVs

Would it help to start with damp fabric so that the paint doesn’t immediately soak into the fabric, and make it more able to move when tilting?

Maybe it would. Not too damp though as it would affect the integrity of the paint.

Love the idea of doing this art on tees, especially since I like advertising too. Will be doing my first pour this week with a group of friends. So I can’t wait to do a shirt. How long does it take to dry? How does it it wash? What, exactly, is the mix ratio? Thank you for sharing!

Hi Gloria, yes it is fun! all your questions depend on many factors, the mix ratio will vary depending on which medium and paints you use. Dry time for me was about 4 days as was thick and sitting on plastic, washed really well, still wearing it 18 months later :)

Another idea would be to cut out a circle in a sheet of contact and put the open circle where you want it , maybe, just a thought, now I have to try it :)

What does the inside of the tee feel like? Is it soft on your body? I love this,how long did it take to dry.How did you wash it?

It feels a little plastic'y inside but not uncomfortable. Fully dry was about 5 days but it is still cool here and the paint was thick. The other shirt I turned inside out and washed it as normal in the washing machine, the instructions say not to was for 72 hours after dry to allow it to cure before washing.

Thank you Shannon :) If you add the fabric medium like I did you just wash them normally. Make sure you flatten the painted area while its still wet from the washer and don't tumble dry.

Did the paint crack at all over time? Particularly in the places where wrinkles or creases would normally be?

It is starting to crack now on the thinner edges but still doing well with lots of washing and wearing :)

A vibrating table would help bring the bubbles to the top and give you more cells.

Oh how I do love this video. I do have a question though. Did you seal this with anything? I have a few T-shirts I bought because I loved the color but I rarely wear them because they are so plain. I would love to try this but I'm going to use glow in the dark material paint. I figured what the heck, I'm not wearing them anyway so what better time then now to experiment? Awesome how much fun can you have? With the fabric medium I have not found they need sealing, I just wash them inside out and try not to let the paint fold in on itself while drying.

Hi Linda, no I don't put anything on the back although some may find the paint a bit sticky on the skin, due to the positioning and my bust size it doesn't touch my skin. I usually turn inside out to wash but wash just as usual :)
