I lived their for 4 yrs it was beautiful then moved to the country Shelbyville and was also in a small town called Tullahoma it was 5 yrs of TN but im from L A had to come back home I was sent to TN by Jesus on a mission
Broadway wasn’t always the big country music touristy area that it is now. I remember when the only things that were down there on lower Broadway was Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Tony Alamo Boots, prostitutes, and homeless people. The homeless population was bigger before they built Riverfront Park. I can see hip hop evolving to be a bigger segment of music there. A lot of us who were born and raised there didn’t even listen to country music. Most of us also lived in the neighborhoods that were gentrified so we were forced to move as the property values went up. I guess gentrification is one way to address the “undesirables” and crime.
