Measure the Length of Your Pull for a Rifle
The length of pull (LOP) is the distance between the center of the trigger and the back center of the butt plate or recoil pad. A proper LOP is necessary to ensure the shooter can shoulder the weapon comfortably and it also puts the head and eye into the correct position to use the sights or scope.
