Lovely, peaceful writing as usual, and then there was your outtake at the end! Quite charming parental moment.

Kristen, enjoy your reviews! It would be nice if you could comment regarding whether you find that all of the Iroshizuku inks behave similarly (or not). I ask because a nibmeister recommended that I change inks to Kon Peki for a specific pen (which is the ink he was using at the time) and I should have asked if his recommendation applied to any Iroshizuku inks or just that ink. Maybe a silly question (many of the ones that I ask probably are) but would still appreciate your view regarding whether you think the properties are similar for the Iroshizuku inks that you've tested vs. other inks. Thanks!!!!!

The iroshizuku inks are notoriously well behaved and problem free inks regardless of the colour you use. So your nibmeister probably meant the ink brand rather then the colour itself

I haven't tried all the Iroshizuku inks, but the ones I have tried are all reliable and nicely lubricated. Can't wait to see what Kristen says. :)

@@MariaRosseau I have most of them since quite a few years now, including some that are discontinued. I don't remember having any issue with any of them in any pen I used them in. You know it's not the ink that's causing trouble if your pen doesn't write properly with an İroshizuku ink

Hi Michael, thanks for watching! Every single Iroshizuku ink I've tried has provided a reliable experience - aside from the pens that just refuse to function properly with ANY ink. I've heard that straightforward blue inks in particular can give you a better understanding of the type of pen you have (wet writer, dry writer, or somewhere in-between). So, if you're having trouble finding a good ink for your pen, I'd recommend starting with a medium blue ink, an Iroshizuku ink, or even better, a blue Iroshizuku ink. In my experience, the Iroshizuku blue inks provide a nice amount of wetness and lubrication. Note: the deeper colored Asa-gao feels wetter than Kon-peki. The writing experience with an Iroshizuku blue ink is always pleasant. I haven't come across any particular reason why Kon-peki would be any more special or appropriate for pens than the other blues in the Iroshizuku line. Now, if you're handling a vintage pen - especially one with a sac/bladder filling system - then I can't give any recommendations beyond the highly recommended Waterman Serenity Blue. It has been the popular choice for many with pens that are sensitive to the chemical makeup of an ink or the pH level of an ink. I hope this helps! If you have more questions, feel free to reach out again.
