30XX - The true Ending

As soon as you have cleared Scripture and obtained the 11th Hidden Lore Item (Memory of Devotion) the Symbol of Peace can appear in very safe Labs.
Once you pick that up, the bosses of every stage will not fight you, and by reaching Ellie with it, the true ending will play out.
There is another Prototype Augmention, called "Sigil of Submission". This one can spawn already before, and will lead to the bad ending. It will be replaced by the Symbol of Peace.
Connecting all pieces of the Lore to reach a plausible conclusion is the fun part. The true ending itself feels somewhat incomplete. I believe the devs left themselves quite some room to expand upon.

I just got the true ending earlier today, and I didn’t even have to use the labs to get the Symbol of Peace. This may be due to the 1.2 version, but after getting the second photo, there will be a capsule in the hub world that lets you start a run with the item.

Yeah, the true Ending feels lackluster. It's a happy ending for sure, but as soon as you return to the Hub, it's like it never happened. Sure, you can explain this with the Multiverse Theory the game's lore is set upon, but it lacks a lot of satisfaction that way. Especially with some of the Clues being pretty difficult to solve.

I'm honestly pretty happy with it. It feels like a cap on all the time you'd struggled before this. And after going through all of the lore and difficulty with unlocking it and learning Eleanor's motivations, you've managed to at least save this one universe and created at least one world where Ellie doesn't have to die. It's a small victory, but an impactful one.

For the first time, it sure was. And i did it on day one, when Scripture was incomplete. Ellie didn't drop the Memory of Devotion right away.

@@luditheuber Which is why i said that the Ending feels somewhat incomplete. Sure, that world is saved and Ellie survives alongside, but there is no after effect to it. Definitely room to build upon.

there is a pair of hover boots, and a get all repros prototype to the right that makes the ascending very easy!

@@kaisersigma1 On my recording, i showed both, but ignored the Zoo Keeper's Burden, because i don't like using the Repro's.

I love this game but watching this was 1000000 times better than going through all the crap it takes for this less that satisfying cutscene. You know when games force you to interact with the seemingly optional parts of the game? Yeah dail it to 11 and this is it.

Biggest letdown ever imo, the HELL you have to go through for your reward being 2 shitty characters sprites hugging and a big ass black screen. Nina and Ace feel as if they just get sidelined by these 2, is as if the 2 Doctors from the 20XX were the ones that escaped the space station.

Was this done on PC? Only reason I ask is I'm trying to force the symbol of peace with a specific seed and was trying to use this one. However water grav always seems to come up first with no safe lab in it. I'm on switch version which I didn't think mattered but maybe it does.

it was done on PC, yes. that the same stage appears first multiple times in a row can happen, but should be pretty rare. I'm not sure if the Switch Version has any difference there.

I forgot to mention, i did trade memoria for certain Augs on the Scrap Dealer before starting the run. The most important one being the Volunteer Aug.

The Memento of Harmony is obtained by clearing Stage 8 without picking up any Core, Weapon or Power. The Memento of Devotion is obtained by clearing the "Scripture" Capsule that appears once you have solved all Datalore clue's
