You can observe, from the great bow camera, as the hull works in the sea, why the deep-V hull was so successful for Bertram in the early Miami-Nassau ocean races (early 60's). Also, notice the hull strakes that were so beneficial.
Wow, that is awesome. That thing hauls A**! I'm taking a mold off of a friends 31 bert in May, and going to build one of these things. I would love the QSB's, but I think i'll probably be stuck with mechanical 260hp's diamonds. Great video, looks like fun!
You are an inspiration. I have a strong desire to build a hot rod Bertram. If I'm successful you can ride out of south Louisiana with me anytime. Nice boat. I will ask you some interior questions one day. lol. it's late.
nice job on that bertram really perfect , what your cruise speed and what does she burn at cruise for fuel? I'm rebuilding and express with coosa board and so far have removed a 1000 lbs from boat . going with 12 v cummins witch I'm going to tune up to 500hp with 1 57. 1 gear swinging a 20x 29 prop est is 30 knot cruise with plenty more left on throttles I'll keep you posted NICE BERTRAM
