This seems like a great idea. I love horror movies and Halloween! Plus, I have a bunch of movies I've been meaning to watch and/or haven't seen before. 🎃
I was just looking for something to do to celebrate Halloween and this popped up on my recommended, which I'm very glad for :D The list seems so fun because you get to experience very different genres, some of which I've never even heard of before, like giallo, which I'm very excited to explore since it's different from the usual American horror I'm familiar with. Very excited to make my own list and try the challenge, thank you for the video! PS, the pumpkin lights in the background are insanely cool

I'm so glad you chose a Universal day because they are the home of the classics. You did name most of the classics but you did miss the Creature from the Black Lagoon trilogy. It was much later than the others but still great and was part of the 3D craze of the 1950s. I will be curious what you think about Christine. If you have seen Halloween Ends, you might find some common themes in it. As for movies from 2003, yes, not a great year but you might like Wrong Turn if you like the Texas Chainsaw type of movie. Since you are going to watch Halloween H20, pay attention to the scene where Janet Leigh (she is Jamie Leigh Curtis's assistant in the movie) is walking to her car. Remember that car when you watch Psycho, because it's the same one as Janet Leigh drive in that movie. I hope you plan to post about what you think of the movies you watch. I always find it interesting to hear other impressions of movies I've seen and I'm always looking for more interesting movies in the genre.
@@pattierotondo1108 halloween isn’t complete without a classic universal movie to me. and i’ve only seen the original creature from the black lagoon and i liked it a lot , but he definitely does feel like the odd monster out since he was introduced so much later than the others
@@ShaneEyhorn In a way, he is. The Creature is sort of a bridge between the old classic monsters of the 1930s and 1940s and the "atomic age" monsters like Godzilla and the rest of giant ant, spider, etc. monsters. Not many monsters from that period endured except maybe Godzilla and King Kong. Then there were new movies with the classic monsters starting in the 1970s. Universal remastered all the old classics (Dracula, Mummy, Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon) maybe 10-15 years ago and released them on DVD. They were the full sets of all the movies in each franchise, so around 40 movies or so. They added commentary tracks from movie historians and had some bonus features. Worth seeing if you want to get into the history of those old classics. I have always loved horror movies and I'm always glad to see others get into watching them. There is always something to like in most of them - even the terrible ones.
