31 Days of Loving Your Brain - Talking to Tallulah about ADHD

Since I started taking to people about their mental health issues during Mental Health Awareness Month, I have spoken to some amazing people about the things they struggle with mentally and emotionally. I’m learning and growing so much through this, I think I’m going to have a mental health awareness year!!
I am on day 20 of my ‘31 Days of Loving Your Brain’ project (yes I’m 5 days behind but the way my brain is set up......lol) and have been soooo looking forward to filming this video because Tallulah has ADHD like me and through meeting her on Instagram, she has taught me so much about the condition.
Tallulah was diagnosed with Adult ADHD when she was 22 after being diagnosed with anxiety and depression through her teens. We discuss her diagnosis, medication, relationships and more! I also cut her off around 68 times lol
This video is a lot longer than I expected or originally wanted it to be but I just couldn’t delete some of the hilarious ‘typical ADHD’ moments we had. The unedited version was over 90 mins long so I did SUPER well getting it down to 38 lol

Love you two! Making me laugh so much! I am 38 yrs old and undiagnosed officially but in the last year stuff has happened that led me to read up on ADHD and everything I've read is so me! I went to the doctors and got then to refer me which meant I got a letter from the ADHD services and they wanted me to write concisely how the symptoms affected my daily life and my school life and childhood, I have had the letter for nearly a year and have made several attempts to write to them (every few months!) concisely but always waffle on for pages and pages and never finish!!! I feel like it's a circular trap!! the whole reason I'm having trouble getting round to writing to them concisely is because I've got ADHD!! Aaargh!! You just have to laugh!! I will get around to it eventually!! Lots of love to you lovely ladies! X

I've never related to two people so much, currently going through the highs and devastating lows and struggling with the lack of help out there

Penny Belle I have, I'm currently on a waiting list but because I don't have a diagnosis I can't receive any help at the moment

Haven't even watched the full thing but need to comment before I forget hahaha. So the whole thing about you telling your friends you had ADHD. I completely got the same reaction. Well my 3 closest friends were like oh right it's why you forget things and can't tell stories but 2 of my not as close friends said no, I think you're okay there's nothing wrong with you. Like I just wanted to tell everyone this is why I'm like this!! But I didn't really get the reaction I longed for. Also when Talullah is talking about hyperfocusing on friends. I get that too but then they become too much for me and I have to cut them out. It's awful but they overwhelm me because they are used to me hyperfocusing on them and suddenly think we're best mates and I just can't do clingy. Omg that sounds awful. Okay I'll watch the rest of the video now. Absolutely 10/10 so far. I'm laughing the whole way through

Thank you for sharing! I want to know if you’ve struggled with hyperfocusing in relationships as well? I was diagnosed at 7 with sever adhd, and at 23 I am finding it harder and harder to have meaningful relationships because of hyperfocusing and I wanted to know if others with adhd struggled with the same thing

👍🏻Well.. Yeah penny said "pycolegest must educated well abourh sepereting adhd+panic atack ext. What is the reason of panic atack.. Ext.. Or why we are so angry ext.. Ext..? My pycolegest was best good career, lots of prices ext.. I leraned lots of things wirh her stoped alcohol stop joint conrol my self ext.. But there is something else that we cant explain or they do not understand.when i am wayching or penn ies another videos..(1 mouth i am looking searching whats new abouth adhd.. Nasa have a new video game fo it download ext..)so i find my self here..) watched lot of prof doctor ext.they give breathing exirceses food health.. But when i listenn penny, Yes thats it, oh yes same as me, yes thats the point i have to be carefull ext exr same expriences , same brain , God bless you.. Here you are doing really good job for us..
