Alternatively you can also do Masuda. I wanted my shiny Dipplin to be in a Sport ball. Sport ball and Safari ball are available in the Sword/Sheild DLC. They are very rare drops from the Cram O Matic. Get your parent Applin/Applitun/Flapple in one of these balls. You can breed in Sword/Sheild or you can breed in Scarlett /Violet.
Best thing about that is that if you breed something in SV you can send it BACK to SWSH through Home. I did that with the only starter I didn't have for that dex, the Grookey. Someone surprise traded me a Chinese Grookey in SV and I bred two for the SWSH dex completion. I have the Shiny Charm in all four of them now.
Sounds pretty great, but I say a friend ball would be perfect for this caramel Dipplin. Either that or a love ball too. 😊 I say Masuda method would be the way to go, just breed it in either sv or sw/sh.
One thing people are forgetting to mention in these videos is that it would be helpful to defeat all the trainers in Paldea. You can also get bonuses from them in the Pokemon centres

For those who want to save your salty herba, I used the following sandwich for level 3 dragon: 1 cucumber, 1 pickle, 2 avocados, 1 spicy herba, 1 bitter herba, 2 horseradish. Can also sub the horseradish with curry powder.

I tried shiny hunting applin by using the normal method, make a dragon sandwich and search every tree. That got so boring so I went to masuda method. I completely forgot about mass outbreaks but it didn’t matter because I got my quickest masuda hunt at only 3 eggs
i went and shiny hunted a new team for the dlc using some of the new mons i haven't used, rn my team is Palafin, Scovillain, Flamigo, Cyclizar, Rotom Fridge, and Spiratomb

I already have a feminine Applin at the ready named Sesshomaru in a Heavy Ball with a Rash nature and EV's are maxed out in both Special Attack and HP.
For the applin trick, 1. The pokemon you use does not need to float, it simply needs to be taller than you when riding your mount. 2. To be honest I wanted to make a list but now I realize I only really had one point
When I was able to buy a Switch Lite, my friend had passed so my first games where in his memory and they helped me through the difficult time. I was able to get SWSH the day after I got my system. Then when Scarlet and Violet came out, I picked them up. I play one as a boy and one as a girl. But I still didn't feel like playing Pokemon. I'm just starting to get over his death after two years, and I'm ready to start actually playing them again. I did get far enough to get the events when they came out. I'm hoping that I will get further before the DLC comes out.
I not only caught a Shiny Applin to prepare for Dipplin, but I prepared a full team of Hisuian form and evos as Shinies in various Poké Balls like a Moon Ball Ursaluna for example and Luxury Ball Hisuian Typhlosion
@@ultmewtwo I bred the Typhlosion using a Cyndaquil in Brilliant Diamond and then moved it into Legends Arceus to evolve it. I did the same thing in Violet with a Teddiursa and moved it to Hisui to evolve.
Speaking of the Mew gift. Also try your luck at defeating the 7-star Unrivaled Mewtwo Tera Raid before September 17th. That Mew gets an amazing stat boost in that battle. Try having your Mew with the Bug-Tera Type. This Mewtwo when caught will have its HA as well as a great stat build too.
@@Aqua-ij3xs but its honestly not worth it after the 1st clear! the rewards are just candies and possibly a Comet Shard or a Modest Mint.... Just beat it once and thats it! I wouldnt farm this raid
2:51 The only shiny odds I the game that are 1/2048 is defeating 30 pokemon in an outbreak without shiny charm. Shiny Charm boosts base odds without any other boost from 1/4096 all the way to 1/1365.
What i recommend: 1. beat the game (if you haven’t) 2. beat the postgame (academy ace tournament and catch your box legendary) 3. complete the pokedex. there’s a youtuber called techno trainer with every catchable pokémon’s location 4. get your money really high (recommend 5m) 5 (optional). get your character dripped out for the dlc! 6. Buy every EV training item and breeding item in the game. 7. Shiny hunt all members of the team you want for the DLC. 8. Ev train those members and level them up to level 100 9. Battle every trainer around the map to get all the rewards that the league trainer gives you. 10. do whatever you want! this dlc isn’t level locked, it’s just part 1 so over preparing isn’t necessary. but a lot of these are to make you feel better about yourself when you go in there Good luck, Trainers!
For Teal Mask, I plan to bring Gallade, Lilligant, Chandelure (since it can be transferred and I have my fully trained one from Sword sitting in HOME), Vaporeon, Garchomp, and Kingambit. If these follow the same pattern as the SwSh DLCs, while you CAN enter Teal Mask before beating the game, the levels will scale depending on whether you have done so or not. (And likely Indigo Disk's levels will assume that you've beaten the game.) So, unless you're doing it on a fresh save file, I recommend at least leveling up any new team members with candies so they won't get potentially bodied. : P

My money is already maxed out and i have plenty of pokéballs to trough to the legendaries i have my main team ready as well as a backup team ready i have both box Pokémon and got all 4 shrine legendaries from the basse game my mew is redeemed as well although i don’t remember there stats or nature Both of my teams are all level 100 although i don’t want to speedrun it but instead i want to take my time And for this appleyn evolution i have another trick up my sleeve and that’s discord trading Ima complete the kitakami dex by trading using discord bots after i get every single legendary in the teal mask DLC and finishing the teal mask story
I only need 40 shinies to complete my living dex. Sadly my herbas run out and I wasnt able to gather as much herbas as I could since I was busy batting competitively and I was also busy due to work. 😅
If you buy the dlc through the banner in the game you own and don't go through the shop it will take you directly to the version you have so you can buy it. That way you can totally avoid purchasing the wrong one. Hope that helps some people.

I actually just hatched a shiny hidden ability Quaxly in a great ball lol. It’s funny because the great ball has a pretty nice design, I rarely use them personally preferred apricot balls over all.
I got all of these ahead of time and the the dittos where the easiest for me because i transfered all the dittos i had from ultra sun and moon over and 6 of them are a musuda ditto and 3 of the musuda dittos have 5 and 6 IVs

for the sandwitch there is a list of optimized sandwiches that let you mix any herba mystica. best one for dragon is. tomato, onion green pepper, hamburger, and two avocado. you can use any herba mystica can even mix them.
the lagtree thicket is such a overused spot that i have another north of the grass gym is a hole with 9 trees with dragon sandwhich only applin spawn there and its just so much faster than afking at lagthree thicket as its 9 applin at a time instead of just 1

The afk method is neat but it is incredibly slow and you are not guaranteed to get a shiny from it since its pretty much just one in tagtree thicket but in the hole its not as afk-able but you find applin on the ground and on the trees and you can just run in circles there till you see a green apple xD I stumbled upon this location a couple of weeks ago and wondered why nobody talked about it

Super disappointed at how they teased all this awesome character customization in SWSH and then just took it away in SV... I mean yea there're different cosmetics and stuff but nothing near the way SWSH had it.. I was hoping to have my character in a skirt or a dress or something... not just different types of formal suits... oh yeeeeaaaaa they have shorts too 😂
Also you can use pokemon platinum for the three segment dudunsparse if u have a synchronize mon with a Hardy nature and if its ability is serene grace, it has a 50 percent chance of getting a 3 segment

@PhillyBeatzU Yeah, but for some it might still be cool to have their favourite in a master ball because it's not something you'll see often. Getting a 2nd Master ball in Go now too so it's not even too much of a sacrifice to use it on a starter

Just farm 5 star and 6 star raids, sell all rare candies that aren't L, build up tera shards, herba, material, patches ect. This guy don't know what he talking about.

Is all the DLC post game? I didn't love the SwSh DLC because I had already completed everything obviously blahblah shiny charm full pokedex and it felt weird to go back to that with my team of monsters oneshotting the entire DLC So I held off playing violet this time around, can I start fresh with the DLC or is there a level range?
I’m just a teensy bit disappointed that Dipplin is the actual evolution for Applin and wasn’t another one of those “convergent evolutions” or whatever. I was hoping Dipplin would be it’s own entity and it would have another evolution that evolves to something a little bigger… Like Appletun size I mean. It just looks so incomplete to me! Edit: well, it looks like we were right to expect something more out of Dipplin after all! Given how people are talking about it being affected by Eviolite. I knew there was no way they could end up a new Applin evolution with what I would barely consider to be an “evolution”, it is so meek and hardly changes aside being more sticky now. I cant wait to see what it’s final evolution is going to be!
