Dear Raven Reads, these are wonderful and intriguing stories. The music is wonderful and along with your voice, very relaxing. Best sleeping pill, ever. The first story reminded me of all the time's I've spent hiking in the Rocky Mountains. When all of the forest sounds go away, it's creepy, and makes the hair on my arms stand up. It's like everything alive says "everybody shut-up, evil is about". All of these stories are scary or wild, and written by very talented people. Thank you so much for these new stories and video.

The mushroom story frustrates me so much... The stranger took some food but did not destroy anything -> pretty peaceful gesture. OP says to come say hi -> the stranger joins their singing, harmonizing, which is an incredibly peaceful and community-symbolizing action. OP goes for their fucking GUN. The stranger makes another attempt later on to harmonize and show friendliness with that. OP goes for the gun AGAIN. OP basically signalled "I was lying actually, if I find out where you are I'll shoot you". So the stranger gets a tad sassy and tosses pebbles. Spoopy, but nothing more. OP goes for the gun AGAIN. Fucking hell, OP! Stranger says "Hey, shooting won't work." OP comes out and shows nothing but aggression. Gee I wonder why at this point the stranger is not cutting it out or showing any mercy with the spoops. I feel like if OP had kept singing the first time, willingly harmonizing with the Stranger and leaving out some food in a bear-safe spot for them, things would have been cool. I get being scared, but ya gotta be able to be respectful and levelheaded even through fear when interacting with nature.

Honestly I truly think she is the best. Her diction, pacing, storytelling ability are all stellar, and she picks AWESOME stories!! Hands down my favorite-I haven’t gone back to anyone since I discovered her lol.

Thanks, Raven. I'm going to use a broad-strokes version of the 'Officer Or Angel?' story as the focus of the meditative prayer in church on Sunday (I'm a non-denominational minister - I like to call it 'all denominational' because people w/backgrounds from other non-Christian faiths attend regularly). I believe that everyone is given opportunities to be an angel for someone else many times throughout their lives. Most of us have had an experience where someone has said or done something to dramatically impact some situation, experience or challenge in a positive way - I believe that those are people who allowed themselves become an instrument of God/Spirit in that moment. And I believe that, if we really, really get out of the way & let God lead, we are given the exact words to say or told the perfect actions to take in order to meet those moments of Divine opportunity. In my opinion, the officer who not only helped the driver of that car to safely turn around, but also offered the perfect words of wisdom to change the way the driver navigated life from that day on - I believe that officer accepted that calling in that moment & allowed Spirit to move through him/her. What a beautiful example! Thank you so much for sharing that story with us!
I hope the person 'scary third eye' who sent in the story of Rock Island is the same person who wrote the exact same story on in the internet from Reddit. Otherwise it's a plagiarism.
I love youre channel.. but this video seems like, at least up until the first 6 mins that i listned, sounds like a text to speech... im happy for you to be efficient if its the case, if not the case... then idk... i still love youre work... but miss your older style i guess.
I love listening to your stories however this particular one has not only rain but music. I much prefer just the rain. Please don't be offended. Just so much sensory can become difficult to handle. I listen to your stories whilst doing my office work. I telework full-time. Thanks so very much!
Not offended. However, the analytics on this channel overwhelmingly tell me that nearly 98% of people will choose the music version if given two options. That is, though, why I create compilations and usually don't put music in them unless it's stated in the title, so that everyone can enjoy. :)
@@elizabethjudd9910 No worries. I totally get why some people want music-free versions, being sound sensitive myself. Tomorrow I'll be posting February's monthly compilation, which is all the new stories from that month without music. So you can find these stories there in a better format for you. :)
Love your stuff Raven but the music is too loud and distracting on this one. Please make more without music for those of us who like to drift off to sleep with your soothing voice…!
I make almost every compilation without music for that exact reason. So that folks who don’t like the music can still hear all the stories without them. 🙂
That won't be happening. I've offered music-free versions three times over the course of my channel, and there are always fewer than 1% of people who choose it. Almost all my compilations on this channel are music-free, though. You can eventually hear the stories without music in those videos.
