I was 22 and living in Hawaii when this song came out. Driving next to the beach with the windows down, breathing in the warm ocean air and listening to this song is one of the best memories I'll ever get to have.

Dude, I'm 62 and still loving 311. I've been to 6 concerts. I went wherever they played. Atlantic City, Asbury Park, Philadelphia, and NYC. Got a few looks cuz I'm old but as soon as people noticed me singing along with every song they'd pass me the joint. Good times but now I'm in a home due to medical issues. Thank the stars my son was a fan too so he went with me.

This song gets me every time I hear it. I work in the OR, and the surgeon had this on his playlist yesterday, and the whole room just chilled out for the entirety of the song. This song and video are an anxiety cure. A calmer and happier vibe was never created, this song is the absolute pinnacle of songs that can lift the mood. I'm sure that's exactly what they were going for, knowing 311 and the way they roll. this song saved my life when I was 9 nine years old and I had fractured my skull and was stuck on the lounge couldn't move or speak and I played this song came on and I got the energy to move my hand and press repeat and listened to it until morning to stay awake because I felt like I was going to die if I fell asleep then in the morning I was rushed to hospital when everyone realised it was so bad and a couple days later a made my mum go out and buy this for me so I could listen to it in hospital.. I still have this same CD and still play it regularly!! LOVE IT!! :)

Well, I'm glad you love the song and I'm sure 311 would love to hear this story because it shows that their creation gave you the will to push forward through the pain and the difficulty of your situation. It is a beautiful story that I find to be inspirational. With that said, perception is everything especially in stressful times and worse situations. You had an injury and often times, due to pain and stress, people will often think that things are happening that might not be as serious as they imagined. In fact, with a skull fracture, it is very likely that you were also concussed, distorting your sense of reality. I am not attempting to downplay the seriousness of your previous situation, but, I am merely saying that if the injury was as brutal as you had imagined, it is very unlikely that a song from 311 was going to be the thing that kept you alive. Anyway, I am extremely happy that you made it through and that you're doing well today. Much LOVE and take care of yourself. Also, none of this was intended to insult you or hurt your feelings.

You even have to admit that more poppy rock like Panic at the Disco, Fall out Boy, Paramore, Twenty One Pilots and Imagine Dragons have been incredibly successful whether or not you actually like their music. Rock of the 2010s has been fantastic, but of course if you listen to music through rose filtered speakers then of course anything that isnt from your childhood is gonna suck.

A girl I really like is actually named Amber and she's blonde, so she does have shades of gold that are displayed naturally. I'm going to to learn this on guitar and serenade her with it, wish me luck guys! Update: DO NOT DATE BLONDES!!!! Met a new lady though, her name's Amber too.
