Genetic algorithms simulate evolution and natural selection to produce adaptive traits.
Camouflage is a common adaptation that helps animals blend into their environment and avoid predators.
Insects can be represented as a string of genes that code for specific visual features such as color, shape, and texture.
A fitness score is used to evaluate an individual's ability to blend in with their environment.
Individuals with higher fitness scores are selected for reproduction, passing on their genes to the next generation.
Over time, the population evolves and becomes better adapted to their environment, producing offspring that are increasingly difficult to detect by predators.

This was super cool and was wonderfully explained as per usual! I understand the advantage of genetic algorithms in the context of scheduling tasks, routing, etc., not sure what real world problem this camouflage approach / finding the smallest delta between pixel colors maps to.

Hi Dear Sreeni, I have subscribed your channel for a while and i found it very informative. when i was browsing in your channel I saw videos 57 through 67 about feature extraction from image using filters like gabor , sobel and so on. I have a question, can we use these filters for time series to extract feature or not? If yes, we can use it for univariate or multivariate time series? I really appreciate if You guide me
