Oh, Michelle, he turned out perfectly beautiful. 🥰 😊. You did a great job painting his features on his little face. And the marble effect is very pretty even though the darker brown got lost. ❤😊❤
Michelle, I have never bought mold release either. What I use is baby oil on a Q-Tip. It works great! I've been doing Resin for 8 years, but because it has become more poplar in recent years, I'm still learning new techniques. Try the baby oil!
I've seen others with these big thick molds and they will cut the thinnest part down the side so it will be easier to demold. It you then have trouble pouring then they will just use tape to seal it. I've not seen anyone have a problem though. He turned out really adorable. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Super cute.. but you can cut the mold down both sides and when you pour it you would use elastics around that area… I had to do that with one of my sphere molds…
He’s cute! I wonder if you had just dumped the brown into the white and have it a little swirl of that would’ve marbled more? Maybe so many layers allowed it to melt together? I’m not the expert, though. I know when you add your cast and craft to leftover white, that’s the way you do it. Either way, I think he’s adorable! ❤🐾
I have some molds like that and found out soapy water worked better for me and you need to rub the mold to move the soapy water down. I fought with a mold for days then tried the soapy water and was so much more easy for me to remove it. And note that I have Rheumatoid arthritis in my hands.
Little suggestion when you're pulling him out. Pull where the back of his head is. What's coming out first that way you're not trying to get past his chin
Michel oh my goodness he’s adorable but I need a rat terrier or a standard poodle. My tiny toy rat terrier taco was not supposed to live beyond five years. He is my ride or die my TC my everything and September 9. He turned 14 years old at a whopping 3 pounds. I know I can’t have them forever but I have a mold. Oh my gosh that would be amazing. And standard poodles. My 12 year old son has a three year old apricot standard poodle and then I have a two year old chocolate and white party standard poodle. It’s hard to find stuff that is a poodle anymore.
You did a great job! He's adorable! The specs even look natural! (Is there such a thing as a bulldog/dalmation mix?) Thanks Don for your contribution 👍
