This video was shot on a Nikon Z9 with a 20mm prime lens in 60fps 8.3K 12-bit RAW, processed using Davinci Resolve, and output to 7680 x 2160 (32:9). The 8K HDR stream is the ideal choice for your 5120x1440 super ultrawide monitor.
There was a giant thunderstorm over North Texas on that day (David's birthday), and the sunset in East Texas was in the shadow of that humongous storm cloud. It made for some nicely contrasting brightly backlit clouds against a dark background.
The video was mastered in HDR (PQ) to 1000 nits, and is best viewed using the AV1 codec (late model TV or Chrome browser on a system that supports AV1).

Nice work GalWar, I was wondering if an superultrawide video could be udploaded to youtube. I'm using two 3440 x 1440 res monitors, so with both I got a 6880 x 1440 superultrawide res. Thnks!!! Have you ever thougth a time lapse in the night, with all the stars above. Where are you shooting?

Thanks for the comments. I have thought about making even more extreme aspect ratios, but I think I need to move to a more extreme wide angle / fisheye lens. And then the max resolution I could get out of the horizontal resolution is 8,256... I suppose I could upscale that to 10,240 x 2160 and then it would work with two 21:9 monitors. Hmmmmm.

Why has this been uploaded in 4K?

It was uploaded in 8K. If for some reason your browser and/or hardware is unable to play the 8K stream, you will only see the 4K option. Try using Chrome.
