First off this channel has a ton of false advertising. I was tricked that we were going to find a good chest work out. You shouldn’t tease. Second I saw model and swift and figured you were talking about Taylor swift. Classic click bait. Unsubscribing.
When it comes to MTL files you don’t really need any extensions. I’m sure there are some that exist but I don’t typically use VS code. I just I just edit the OBJ and MTL directly in Xcode. You are looking to do anything special with an extension let me know and I may be able to find something for you
Hi, thanks for the video, I do have a question, ..so I downloaded an obj file along with the separated mtl file, But when I try importing the obj into maya. I cant see any textures, the mtl file doesnt seem to be connected to the obj file, ..so what do I need to do?.....tnx
Do you have the actual images? The MTL file needs to have the path to the file exactly. So if the images are in a “textures” folder, you would need to use textures/mytex.png instead of just textures.png. These are smaller fixes which really don’t help that much but if you come over to the discord we can chat real time instead of with RU-vid lol
@@2etime I´ve added the mtllib line code to the mtl file, but it didnt work.., I thought the textures would be contained within the mtl file, but now I see thats not the case. Thank you very much for your response!!
I left a link to my github in the description section of the video! You can go there and download the zipped project files for the series! Let me know if you need further help :)
