On my Victor X, I removed the doors like instructed in the video but found the horn casing was too broad to pull out. On the Vic X, the panel on the back of the cabinet is how to access and remove the horn.
On Victors', not only do you have to remove the screws holding the horn throat from the under cabinet you also have to take the screws holding the tone arm too,so you have six screws to remove from the top of cabinet
That was the first thing I was told way back when I first got interested in these phonographs always let it run down after playing,it saves the spring and prevents it from causing damage to gears and other problems. The reason some motors are noisy is because the motors gears have become distorted because the tension in springs pulling parts in one direction,also the causes noisy springs too
