Permanent means per EPA if you fixed the problem and tried to clear the code, any Aftertreatment codes will stay at the back end of the ECM for 300 engine houres before they can can go away.
I replaced both nox sensors a little over a month ago and after I got def the led started blinking and check engine light is on and de-rated my truck what could cause spn 3226 and 5246 to come back on
3226 usually a exhaust leak in the exhaust system, or a clogged fuel injector, or dpf filter media bad, if the box sensors have been replaced they are detecting a issue in the system to set the code 3226. The code 5246 is a ireglitory fault, this is saying 3226 has been ignored and now the system is derated.
@@madmotorrepair1748 thanks I'm at the Walcott ia ta trying to get the codes cleared otherwise I'll just be stuck cause this truck is eating me out of house and home I've had it for 3 months so far and have spent a lot of down time and money in this truck and now I've got nothing left to put in it
i had the same problem eec 61 3226 f 4 . the light was on for half the day went away I still replace the knock sensor three days later the light come on again.. after doing some research the fault code says module control .
Mismo problema, cambie el sensor y en 2 semanas volvio la luz naranja. Asi sigo trabajando lo acabo de cambiar pues. El dealer cobra mucho por cada visita a veces creo que lo programan para q vuelvas
