Mine is a "Badge-A-Minit," something like 60 mm. Love that thing. Be sure your ink is totally DRY before putting the parts together, lest they'll rust prematurely. And now that you mention it, I don't think I've _ever_ expressed any deeply-rooted opinions by button. In fact, it's possible that the very act of button-making could nullify the validity of any argument that's buttoned. Satire is a sweet, complex mistress. Hey, that'd make a good button!

I've slowed down so much that there is little risk any ink will still be wet! Lol. It's was normally other peoples deeply rooted opinions that I wore on badges as a teenager, but that said, the button badge is quite an older form of challenging established ideas. Probably wasn't the thing that swung public opinion about suffrage or abolitionism, but interesting to read these were part of a miscellany of objects people used to display their dissent. Presumably because literacy rates were far lower, it was a much safer way to express those ideas.

@@SavvasPapasavva This discussion has made me smile. You and I might be showing our age just for having a fondness for them. I guess the button-badge really does have its place in history! Like you said, as a (small but pervasive) form of challenging established ideas. I don't know if the change to our modern approach says much about increased literacy though-now we just use memes instead!

Can't put a handie on it, but for some reason I enjoyed your video presentation of this device.

They're so proud of their handies that on the _"DISASSEMBLY DRAWING OF BADGE MOLD"_ they named them twice twice! I like the way the translator couldn't decide which was the correct spelling, so they went with both mold _and_ mould. Although, technically, wouldn't the parts be "casts" which came from moulds? Also, I wouldn't put much faith in those fuselages getting airborne, not unless the assembly causes enough frustration, that is. But, hey, at least they went with the "penetration nail", as those non-penetration nails can be a bit disappointing, especially on a Saturday night. Speaking of, does everyone else hate it when their iron cover won't suck up, too? You gotta just love Engrish! 🤣😂

I like it because it reminds me of Nadsat - 🕰🟠

@@SavvasPapasavva Я еще не читал и не смотрел "Заводной апельсин". Кроме того, Google Translate не переводит английский на Nadsat, поэтому вместо этого я использовал русский, поскольку он должен быть довольно близким. 👀 😆

I haven't seen rear metal backs supplies for this but the plastic ones have worked fine for me. Best get in touch with the supplier to be honest.

Still using garment damaging pins. Guess it is still better than the risk of ingestion of tiny neodymium magnets by children.

Can't have kids eating magnets - even more dirt would stick to them!
