@Sir_Loin_of_Steak it's referring to "cross over episodes" on TV when a character from one show makes a cameo in another show that's called a cross over. They are implying that john mentioning bo is specific to their taste in media
The good doctor trying to tell John he couldn’t get him the drugs he wanted because of a state law was using a brilliant tactic that I have used many, many times. Making it seem like the rules are just as binding on you as they are on children in your care. Granted, there are many times where that’s true. But it still a great way to build trust with a kid when they’re not old enough to understand the rules that are there.
I was heartbroken when I heard John relapsed; people die from their addiction all too often, and it brings untold suffering to them and everyone in their lives. I'm very grateful he's found sobriety, and I hope he can stay clean, serene, and successful.
Been a huge fan of John since I first saw him opening up for the Comics Come Home Tour in New York way back when and this may not even be the actual name of the event, but I applauded his performance and his work on the Barry series as a writer and co creator alongside Bill Hader as the main character of this show. Mulaney used to write exclusively for the Conan O’Brien Show and knew how hilarious his work would get from the audience when Conan was doing his opening monologue for the first 10 minutes of his show. Mulaney also had a sitcom which was amazing and cancelled by those who didn’t get his humour back in the early days of his career. He is a comedian’s comedian who deserved everything he’s gotten thus far ❤ Pineapple Joe!!
I had a doctor just outside of Los Angeles and every time i went in, I'd tell him my symptoms, he'd confirm my symptoms, then, without fail, he'd ask me what he should prescribe me, and I'd tell him that I'll go with his recommendation. This was standard and without fail and I never doubted that he would have prescribed anything had I asked for it.
Dammit, I hate that when he said, "You know which one," I THOUGHT OF MY DAD'S MOM. But she was apparently a wonderful lady! She really was! My mom loved her. But she died when I was like, barely 5! I wasn't in kindergarten yet, AND it was the summer, so... yeah, unfortunately, I thought of her as the "less important" grandparent because I only have like one memory of her. I'm so sorry, Grandma Ag, I'm so sorry.
I never ever ever thought of “crossing over”. Changing comedians. Bc he had a personal problem? Bc he was struggling w an issue apparently millions of other Americans struggle w and hundreds of thousands actually DIE FROM every year? Bc he and his wife were getting a divorce, something that occurs in close to 80% of all married addicts either at the time they’re attempting rehab, before that or afterwards?? The fact that his problem was splashed over social media while it was occurring, while he was going thru it, & tons of ppl were commenting on his personal life as if they knew him during the months he was in rehab or attempting to finally remain sober was horrifying & cruel, esp’ly since it could have resulted in sending him back into a spiral of addiction once again, merely bc of the intense bad press. The only thing I thought during the time he was away was “I hope he gets better bc he is the best comedian I’ve come upon in the last two decades. He doesn’t tear down other people; he uses his family life and general observations for laughs & he is hysterically amusing!!” Not just funny. But rolf, lol side-splitting clever. Like of combination of Bob Newhart, Jerry Seinfeld & Ellen DeGeneris all rolled up into one but then adding in his own personal touches. I would never, but never, “switch” comedians after discovering such a treasure. I’m just thrilled I discovered him in the first place!! 😂😂
I'm dutch. When I used to be a student, my housemates grandfather, who had always been a farmer, got Alzheimer. He used to burglar into other farmers stables all around the neighbourhood to milk their cows, and got violent if someone tried to tell him the cows where not his.

On the weird camera shots: they apparently help this video avoid getting flagged as a bootleg copy of other posters' videos. So why are we watching this one? Where are the original videos on RU-vid where we can watch more of John Mulaney and less of the wall panels or just the top of his head?
The angle of the camera 🎥 is making me wanna… Bah dah dah dah DA sick! Buhut I adore John and find him extremely funny ( I think maybe or pretty certain I have a crush on him, just sayin 😉🙃☺️… he’s so funny.. and sexy in a real way.. can I say that sorta thing or is it wrong to be honest and 100% the upmost compliment with respect for him and all he’s achieved in his journey to be the best version of himself, discussing things that most people would probably have a major issue admitting..) thank you John for making me laugh and feel normal about my own existence in this cray cray time 🤗😁👍🏽💟🕉️☯️🪬
Holy Christ, if I had a dime for every time I've heard that SVU chunk I'd be as rich as Elon Musk. Also, I really appreciate the repeat of the first bit at the end of the clip. Downvoted.
I adore John Mulaney but this is filled with terrible camera work. I feel like it was put together with the rejected film that ended up on the cutting room floor.
Please refrain from using God's name & vulgarities in your comedy routines. Using the b word is also so offensive & unimaginative when referring to human females. IMEO&O, Marraige is truly a trial by 🔥 fire. 😮💔❤️🩹💗💖💛🤙🕊
