I've got an oddball question: the way some things I'm reading are worded I get the impression you have to set the drone and/or controller to choose using an inserted SD card instead of (or in addition to) their stock built-in memory. They don't do so automatically just because it's been inserted. Is that true ? If so, how does one choose it ? Thank You.
You can choose your storage preferences in the settings. Once you insert a Micro SD card, the system will ask if you want to swap your storage to the card.

really?! I've been flying my Mini 2 now for quite a while and I remember one time I got 13 satellites and I was like wow but I never get more than 8 to 10 max ever no matter where I've flown
Good Day Mate:: Suggestion: Night time flying!! All the videos throughout YOU TUBE fly during the day! How about your input about flying at night PROs and CONS? I have a few suggestions if you are interested! Key on safety issues! The AIR 3 operates completely different at night than during the day! I just spotted a ROO outside my house amazing!! lol
Great suggestion, unfortunately it is illegal to fly at night unless you have a special permit. I have considered doing night videos but that is why you rarely see them online.
Anyone got tips on how to place dron when it’s not being used? If anyone knows any video about that. Just want to know what would be the ideal way. I just have it opened in my room. Worried about the wings idk 😂. Anyone got any tips? Just take off wings put in case?

Just bought my new dji air 3 with rc n2 controler, seems signal very weak, i fly 87meter high distance 25meter signal drop then lost then reconnect but only 2 bar 😢any suggestions?
Clean the lens, update the firmware, try to calibrate everything. That is weird, maybe even try changing to manual settings. If the focus has been changed to MF instead of AF then that might cause the issue.
Hello Dan, thank you for the lots information, but what i am missing badly, is the colorcontrol settings where i can tune the contrast, sharpness and noise reduction, is ist still in their like in the Mini 3 pro? For me that is the most interisting point, while most the time the footage is much to sharp? Thank you! 🙂
put in auto settings and get ND filters the quality coming out of the cameras on drones these days are fantastic unless you are doing professional filming use auto setting happy flying 😉
Very Helpful. My 1st drone was over 10 years ago. Now, after several, mostly DJI drones, my new Air 3 is on the way. Can't wait to explore the many features. Love the new waypoints ability. Used to use Litchi for several years. Amazing app but now I have something similar on the Air 3. I think it will be a very popular option on the Air 3.
I did ask this before, question regarding the noise in images. Did you find the firmware upgrade helped with less noise in stills. I am concerned you removed my comment as you sell drones and did not want to raise this issue as it may effect your sales. I do hope I am wrong as I find your channel very good.
I did not remove your message. I have upgraded the firmware and I now have some options to adjust the image. I believe that this will take some of the noise out of the image but I have not tested it yet.
I have a doubt about the Air 3. 4K/60fps HDR. Is this function automatic? Because on the mini 3 pro it clearly says HDR if you record in 24-30 fps. But with the Air 3 no such visible option is available. I just got my Air 3 yesterday. So does it record HDR automatic? Or do I need to change anything?
Great tip video Dan, well done. This gave me alot more information. I have a couple questions on the data cards. I at first ordered the extra Kingston card and inserted it in the controller but now have it inserted in the drone. Whats the difference of having the card inserted in the controller versus the drone. Also any tips on extracting the data? I noticed the DJI crashes when I try to download the video while doing the quick connect option.
You want to put the microsd card into the drone, you would only put one into the controller for screen recording and backing up files on the controller. I download my files onto my computer using a microsd card reader to usb 3.0.
Hi , what kind of range on the EU setup . Reason I ask is my mini 3 pro on NA has way better range , I only get 300 m In a built up area and only 1km in countryside . Also I’ve not used my mini for a while , is the live time air traffic also been updated to the mini 3 pro firmware . Thanks good video pal
