Regarding your thumbnail... Babies that young should sleep on their backs. #2 NEVER put a latex glove or anything on or near a baby! This "hint" is a tragedy waiting to happen. Don't follow this hint.

I tried these with my one year old son but he got through everyone in the first thirty seconds. Baby's aren't dumb as they know how to grab things and pick them up.
As someone who was short as a child I honest feel like it can be helpful. Having the side of the counter cut into you as you lean over to reach the tap sucks.
If there little they will not use the toilet they have a diaper if old enough either they will stop using the rubber band or if there's another little kid there then the older kids will know how to take a rubber band off of a toilet paper.
