A 25,000SF foreclosed home was up for sale in 2015. This home has some incredible history by its previous owners that still appear in this video. It was then sold to a buyer that got ended up having his own issues. Click on comments to read the follow-up story.

If you all must know, I was the carpet installer that carpeting the entire mansion in the mid-'90s This work was a challenge because of all the luxury interior finishes. But I finished and I did not have any problems with the results. I will never forget the steal steps that I did 120 of them. Check online for photos of the whole mansion including the movie theater, the gym, the bridge hall, and the Master Bedroom.

My Grandfather Art Reetz built this house. I got to tour it when I was in fifth grade while it was under construction. Great memory!

Its back for sale again. Nearly 6 million dollars and a pending sale that fell through. We were promised articles about the house and its history, never got them. Well if you want a piece of prime land in OakBrook, this would be the time!

The new listing does not look that updated at all. A lot of that is the same as when I had it listed. Good find that it is listed again. I did not even notice it. Mike, if you look at the comments I did post several articles about a year ago. Did you see those?

Still love this house. Wonder what it looks like inside now. No way it still looks like the listings back before it was sold. Wonder if they are happy. For those who are unaware, this was Frank Thomas’s old house. The White Sox player.

Ok, so check out the two articles I just posted. The buyer I sold the home to is the one and his partner in the articles. The government ended up seizing the home.
