Lol, crazy zoom.. looks good. It's a bonus you guys were having fun.. more entertaining than someone with a typical music track zooming in on wildlife. Enjoy life! Your video was helpful, so thanks!
WOW! FANTASTIC TUTORIAL, I have just purchased this camera Panasonic fz82 absolutely love it, even more so after seeing your tutorial. Thank you again.
Such great production quality and authentic enthusiasm for a review of the fantastic and highly capable Super Zoom FZ80. Well done and was highly entertaining and very informative. Love your style and take on the presentation.
I have this camera...but I'm wondering how to get the white lines off the side of the screen when it's night time?? Plus I find night time shooting a bit too grainy!!
60x zoom is 20-1200, the 20mm equivalent start is very wide and no other superzoom goes this wide. Plenty go this far as many 50x zooms start around 25 and go upto 1200mm equivalent. The Actual X zoom number itself should not be taken as an indication of how far it can reach, it's the difference between the widest and furtherest. Most 50x zooms reach 1200mm but dont start as wide
I have an old Lumix point-and-shoot zoom camera and I miss a lot of shots because it spends so much time focusing, especially in low light. You said several things suggesting that this camera would have the same problem. Did you feel that you missed still shots due to the focusing time?
@@headsoftech Well that's debatable. Your video, being a video, "focused" almost wholly on video capability (horrible pun intended), but I shoot mostly stills. If this thing is as slow to focus and shoot as my current camera, then I don't want it. Can you recommend something else within $100 of this price range that doesn't have this problem?
Nice one, the problem is all cameras at this price point have that awful contrast based AF system. Hmm, maybe the Canon PowerShot SX70 HS? Canon's usually better known for focus than Panasonic, haven't tried it myself, and it still has the contrast based AF, but it might be a good alternative. Otherwise, Sony is always great too at autofocus, but they don't really have a budget superzoom camera anymore, just the discontinued HX400V. Let me know if you find a good one.
This camera seems to offer amazing value. I have seen some RU-vidrs complaining about its photographic clarity. I guess given its price and functionalities, some compromises are necessary. Are you still using it or have you moved on to another camera?
Hey mate, I've got an A73 for higher quality video work, but this is still my go to camera for zoom, it's small, light, mega-zoom, and very cheap in comparison to others. The only other mega-zoom camera I'd consider at the moment is the Nikon P1000, but it's 3-4x the price, 2x the size and 3x the weight, so... Yeah, this one's still great value. Which camera do you have?
I would like the Nikon p1000 but I´m poor, the Lumix FZ80 camera offers a better video quality (and a pretty small price) than the Nikon p1000. I found this camera for a price of 200 dollars here in Santiago de Chile, so I will buy it soon. Cheers!
@@austin-xp6kb I would yes. The f2.8 lense makes a huge difference as you can get away with a lower iso for the same shutter speed. On these small sensor cameras it makes a huge difference to picture quality the fz300 is weatherproof and is more sturdier too. The only advantage to the fz80 is the 1200mm zoom over the 600mm on the fz300. Having said that if you crop pictures from fz300 or use the e zoom you will still get better photos
That is a nice big thicc black shaft on the camera. Great video as usual. Eureka tower is the tallest building in Australia. I hope you didn't wash away on the weekend. Does it ever stop raining up there? It's not even wet season. Oh well at least you don't have the suffer the pain of daylight savings
Mate, you and your Victoria state sponsored propaganda. Q1 is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere[1], they added a really long mast to beat out Eureka by over 20m. [1] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Australia
Vtudio Adding stuff too fraudulently claim that your the tallest after the fact does not count especially if it’s not a usable part of the building. At least you can see the QuackRduck from up there. No 1 Gold Coast attraction.
your video helped influence me into buying this camera to begin vlogging, it was one of a couple of options I had a at a low budget range. Thankyou! I live in Spain but I'm from the Gold Coast so it was really nice to see my old stomping grounds haha! If you're interested in seeing how I used the camera the videos are on my channel :)
thanks for your reply .. . . now im using Sony RX100 m 5 .. . . im not a vloger .. . just like an ameture street photographer, traveler . .. . do u recommend fz82 insted rx100 m5 . . . .. .. bcz it has long zoom option . . .but it is larger than rx100 . .. im confuse
Nice one, they're very different devices, the FZ82 is all about the zoom (typically 60X but can be boosted with digital to a lot more), the RX100 has very little zoom (3X), but is much smaller and has better quality. Do you ever feel like zooming into things when you're out travelling?
actually i didnt spend much time with rx .. whenever i go out i just took it . .. and take some picture . .. . actually i feel its just better than my mobile camera . . . . bcz im just want to take good picture . . and i dont want to use those critical camera function .. . so i thought i may purchase a good quality camera mobile phone . . . . like ur s9 or something like that . but if a camera has zoom capability i may buy this camera . .. . im totaly confused
I just got this camera today but the memory card I ordered hasn't arrived yet so can't take any pictures until it arrives 😒 is it worth getting a telephoto lens for it or is there any accessories you would recommend? Thanks for the vid ✌️
@@headsoftech not sure tbh, probably just a cheap enough one. I dunno if it'd help with noise on extra length zoom or not!? I'm an absolute newb to all this so still trying to figure pretty much everything out haha
I know it has a good built in zoom...but can you add a zoom lense to it? I'd like to get better and more defined moon shots as well as wide angle shots?
You can can an adapter tube for your lumix fz80 then get the DMW Lt55 1.7x teleconverter. Just put those on and it multiplies the zoom up to like 102x zoom I think and you can still get clear shots
Hey mate, after occasional (probably 10-20 times) use over 6 months the camera just refused to start, we've been quoted a 2-4 week repair timeframe under warranty. Hopefully this isn't a widespread issue.
Wondering if you had any more problems after it was repaired, I have a Sony HX300V that has been in the shop several times with the E62:10 Error, lens stabilizer cable I guess goes out, had a MACK extended warranty that saved me for a few years but the error came back 1/1/21. I can still get moon shots with a tripod if no wind......... also paid to have the mode dial replaced last Oct.. but have been looking for replacement for the Sony, the HX400V also has the same lens issue. I have a few DSLR's but don't have a lens that will get me as close to the moon as the Sony. Considered the Sigma 150-600mm but not sure how close that will get me for moon shots using a Nikon D500...... compared to the Sony..
@@headsoftech I hope to find some more still shots of the moon to see how it does , I do see a lot of videos.... of zooming in and out so sometimes not sure when its past the optical zoom. Just wish it had a tilt screen......
Hi there excellent video. i was looking at it but got the tz90 as i needed it to be as small as possible. i kind of regret it really. However, You can get it up to 10000 mm at lower res
No its great for a travel camera. it only has 30x optical zoom with digital going to max 2880 mm. However if you are serious about photos the lumix gx80/85 is great value. ohterwise the fuji xe3 is the tops. Now that i have started to take proper pictures you can see the difference especially in low light.
Phones don’t have image stabilization so it’s an operator issue. Video from a phone does not have optical zoom. A phone camera sensor is small so it lets in less light (bad in low light)
Pamela,no olvidar que para comparar la compra de una cámara hay que incluír la comparación del precio.Porque una cosa es admitir que otra cámara es mejor,y otra cosa es ver si es mejor o no comprarla(si no llegara a tener un precio similar)
As demonstrated in the Ikea vlogging test at 7:07 there's POWER O.I.S.[1] [1] www.panasonic.com/au/consumer/lumix-cameras-video-cameras/lumix-digital-cameras/dc-fz80.specs.html
The image stabilization is really good. I know it's a kids toy camera and you can get better photos with your $2000 celly phone. Why are you even here?
Isn't there an app that allow you to mirror the screen in real time and also control it!? I pretty positive... I just ordered one for 277$ but I kind of wish I got the Nikon b700 instead or the Sony hx400v ... the Sony outputs to a monitor with hdmi cable and has a better zoom and clarity and the Nikon has a better sensor and megapixels and an articulating screen ... not sure if I should just return it when I arrives or what... I'll have to pay the shipping back ... anyone can help I'd appreciate it.. I want a camera with a good zoom and good megapixel rate... for moon shots and sky shots and things further away in all lighting... touch screen I'd like it to have if possible and articulating screen, WiFi,Bluetooth, gps or nfc not needed but make great additions .. and an app to see the screen real time or output to a monitor by hdmi... price range 400ish out of all the cameras I just named what's best for what I want in a camera and did I make a perfectly fine choice with the fz80 on its way to my casa ? Any other models are welcomed to ..,thanks thanks thanks!
