The object of this speedrun is to reach Gannon's room without a sword. You must have a sword to kill Gannon, so the run ends there. This run uses some out of bounds clips and clips through blocks to skip some enemies. Hope you enjoy the run!

That is a crazy good strat getting hit by the bubble so you're invincible while fighting the darknut with the wand.

Is there a category for fastest time with traditional gameplay, ie, no manipulations like ladder clips, screen walks, etc?

Which quest do you consider more difficult swordless? Seems like the 2nd quest might be easier since you can get the wand quickly.

Question Are the Famicom and Nintendo excepted as the same categories when running Zelda ? One thing rather important in comparison is the time it has when factoring the text, from the merch and Wiseman. My opinion, is that Japanese text reads faster than English. Making Famicom a hair quicker to run.

A few months back, we consolidated the consoles into one leaderboard for each category. The "No Up+A" categories must be run on the NES (US) release. The "ACE" category must be run on the Famicom Disk System version (as it is the only one that works at the moment). All other categories, including this one, may be played on any version you wish. The Famicom version of the game is the fastest due to the text. We decided that there will be no time conversions across any consoles and that we will follow RTA rules. We did this because we had 40 individual categories for Zelda 1. The changes above reduced the category down to 15 categories, which is much more manageable.
