This video recaps the aftermath of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 before explaining the Bruces' ill-fated campaign into Ireland in 1315-1318. As his elder brother harried the English border and presented a threat to England's northern marches, Edward Bruce led a second Scots army across the sea to attack Norman-English territories in Ireland to the west. This video covers the highs and lows of Edward Bruce's efforts to work with the Irish agains the English barons. It then covers Robert Bruce's continuing campaigns into the north of England in 1318-1319.
