Great work. Just curious if you had not bought ikea sensor. You could have DIY everything with P2. 5 sensor or BME 680 using esp home
@the_vccground

Sure, but to know about a product, one need to buy it. I'm too curious to try new items and customise them to improve and extend their features. I always appreciate your inputs. So keep sharing your thoughts ❤️👍

In fact, Ikea is much cheaper than bme680 and also looks good :)

This is a really interesting video! I haven’t attempted anything like this before, so I apologise if this is a stupid question.. but can you explain the purpose of moving the resistors rather than just removing them completely? Also, can you recommend a guide on how to move resistors? (I only have basic experience of using solder 😅)
@the_vccground
@the_vccground 2 года назад
The purpose of removing and shifting the resistors, is to disconnect them from the onboard microcontroller chip and handover the full control of the LEDs to Wemos D1 mini board. If you have basic soldering skills, you can remove them and refix them using your soldering iron. There are a lot of videos available on RU-vid on how to remove and fix SMD components. Kindly refer to them. Thanks for appreciating my work. ❤️👍

@@the_vccground sorry, just to confirm, if I removed the resistors and didn’t put them back on the microcontroller chip..the LEDs wouldn’t work at all?
@the_vccground
@the_vccground 2 года назад
@@robertybob Yes, they won't work without those resistors.

Thanks, it worked well, is it possible to add MQ135 smoke Sensor to this system?
@the_vccground
@the_vccground 2 года назад
Yes, why not. If you just need a trigger from MQ135 sensor, you can connect it's Digital pin to any free digital input compatible pin on your ESP board. If you want to see live values that this sensor is reporting, in that case you need to remove the LDR and connect MQ135's analog output to A0 pin of ESP board. If you want to have both Gas sensor and LDR, then you need to use a GPIO extender board or an I2C ambient light sensor.

Great work Do you have any plan to put tasmota on Wipro 16A Power Monitoring Plug (DS11160)? Heard that it is possible

Currently, I don't have that plug with me. I'll need to arrange one first..:)

How are you getting the three different measurements out of the vindriktning ( pm 1, pm 2.5, pm 10, pm ) ? I only get the one (using an esphome version of software)
@the_vccground
@the_vccground 2 года назад
I have modified the default Tasmota firmware to get all these readings. Do try this modified firmware to get all the readings in your sensor too. Link is there in the description of the video... ❤️👍

@@the_vccground If it's a custom build, I like to know what I'm putting on my network. In addition, I believe the device also has PM4.0, but the main reason is knowing what I'm installing on my network.

@@timwoodburn5895 It's basic Tasmota with addon functions for VINDRIKTNING and I2C sensors. It also includes some rule sets to transform it into a standalone sensor. It doesn't support PM4.0.
