Finally a house with equal bedrooms and bathrooms. I have seen so many open house videos and mostly the houses even with 3 bedrooms have 1 bathroom. This house looks so good. I hope whoever lives here is having a good life.
That's a very common thing to do when rebuilding or remodeling in older areas, to keep hegemeny and not put such a target on your back in terms of burglary.
A lovely home with a very unassuming cottage appearance from the road, but quite majestic structure facing the lake. No basement, because it's an island and no garage, because it's a small island with no commerce. Access by boat or by snow mobile when the lake is frozen. A different kind of life.
I love it cause it doesn't have that come rob me i got expensive stuff look. The front is very understated . Looks just like any old house till you walk inside. Cant judge a book by looking at the cover. Lol
The Island has its own police force; a thief looking to get away quick would be better off swimming to the mainland than wait for the ferry and that's in the summer. Of course, in the fall, they'd only have to "scoot" across. But, as a cottager, you'd be long gone by then.
Love that music and the elegant flow of the camera work. Awesome. Watched a few video's by a different channel (bird...something) and definitely not in your league. Keep up the good work.
lovely home, although the open plan stairs leading up to the open balcony could be a bit creepy at night. I would feel as though somebody was looking down at me, lol.
Marylou Mäder Yeah, nice house...inside. I think I would revamp the front, give it a better front with maybe some concrete steps and posts. Perhaps extend the front porch beyond just the front door.
I like the element of surprise. From the front porch, you can not tell how big and spacious the house is. I imagine the smile on my guests faces when they walk in and didn't realize that THIS is what they would be walking in to! I love it!
Why do they need a front porch when all the beauty is in the back of the house..And how many people even use their front porch these days unless they are being nosey.
@@kristalinc9546 You'd have to keep a vehicle on the mainland to go to town. Access to the home (it's on an island) is only by boat in summer and snowmobile when the lake is frozen.
@@OpenHouse24 That's not entirely correct. The ferry begins operation when the ice is thin in the spring and not after two inches in the fall. Then the people cross with a scoot like the kind used in the everglades and is public. When the ice gets a foot thick two rows of trees are planted into the ice marking an "iceway." But, honestly, honey or Holly, from my experience, once you spend half your time warming it up so it's comfortable you're almost ready to go home again So, you have to ask yourself if you want to spend time in your cottage in the winter.
Strange exterior. Front of the house if blah, I'd drive right past it, but the back is stunning! Front should be the back, back should be the front. The interior is gorgeous.
